Got sent this free and reluctantly gave it a look over only to see it is the best mag from a supermarket I've ever seen.
It's bright and glossy, contains lots of interesting articles, and isn't just all about selling their products. The best bits were advice on dyed hair (for my wife) and which products are best, plus an informative seasonal article about what to do with picked blackberries which fit us perfectly as we had just been out and done that.
There are book, film and CD reviews, and of course lots of ads for their products. There were two or three pages to do with fashion.
The best bit is that it had some good vouchers for saving money with it, so if you're going there anyway it makes sense to use them.
In my own opinion, this magazine is very much tailored towards women, and parents at that. There are numerous items on hair care and childcare which make it this way. Also, the reviews of film and books are just one paragraph long (wouldn't get past the Dooyoo team), so it's not really something for the men. However, if you are a man who cares about cooking, it really is worth having. At the end of the day, it saves from having to buy a cookbook, as it contains a lot of interesting recipes.
Again in my own opinion, the recipes are tailored at the well off, with meals containing diverse ingredients that will make them cost around £20 plus to make. For myself, I don't think that's fair to have the whole mag on expensive meals, but if you're one of those people who doens't mind spending a lot on a meal then I would have to recommend it.
All in all, much better than I thought it would be, just like the shop itself.
Summary: do it
