I have bought Satellite Times every month for a year or so now. I am not a great TV watcher, but there are many competitions/draws in this magazine, which I have entered consistantly, and won regularly.

Last month, I was horrified to read that they had changed the mode of entry for their comps, from allowing postal entries, and all in one envelope, to phone entry.

I had previously been putting up to 20 entries in one envelope and using maybe 4 or 5 first class stamps. This allowed me to enter the 20 comps for less than £1.50. These new phone lines were to cost 25pence per call...therefore increasing the cost to myself by something like 300%. Needless to say I was not too happy about this!

I e-mailed the editor with my comments on this. It appears that many other people also were not pleased by this increase in costs, as in this month's edition, there were several letters to the ed, and he stated that they had had a rethink, and whilst phone entry would still be available, they were reinstating the postal route, and would also allow entries to be made via e-mail.

Just goes to show that some mags really do listen to their customers!

Summary:
