She magazine promises style, real lives, solutions, inspiration, fashion, food, homes and wellbeing so it has quite a lot to live up to. Lets see if it delivers. I got my August 2008 copy of She magazine free from an offer in Scotland on Sunday but it generally costs £3.30 and is published monthly. If you decided to subscribe then it costs £1.50 per issue paid by direct debit. This is a magazine that is aimed at the 30 something woman who has kids and a career but who still wants to look good. It has 177 pages although probably about half of these are adverts. This months magazine has Davina McCall on the front cover with an exclusive ... Read the complete review

Actually i like SHE. I've even been a subscriber in the past, but I am starting to wonder whether I'm the only 30-something who has other things on her mind than sex. I've seen SHE change over the years I've been a regular reader.....some changes have to be beneficial (and let's face it, no change is easy!) but I have seen the mag slide from being a good all round read, to being obsessed with how to have an orgasm and a lot of what seems to me idle chat. If you want to navel gaze in your relationship, this is the place to do it. If your sex life needs something-but-you-don't-know-what, then this may well be the mag for you. The Couples ... I was pleasantly surprised by this recently - having stopped reading this years ago when they relaunched it as a title for 'women of a certain age with children'. Yeuk. Plus that doesn't apply to me. This, unlike so many other women's magazine has certainly improved of late. Perhaps surprisingly, it's not all babies and knitting - there are a good range of very intelligent articles - not quite up to Marie Claire standard perhaps, but certainly getting there. The overall tone was far from 'mumsy' the fashion, and especially beauty, was good quality and there was a good freebie - with the promise of more to come. Tempted as I ... Read the complete review

I went to my local shop the other day because I fancied a read, but my shop had suddenly got a HUGE shortage on magazines! The shelves were very much empty, the only thing they had on them were glossy lifestyle magazines. Not usually my cup of tea, and I was a bit gutted but I bought a copy of SHE. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this magazine was. The articles were well written and easy to follow. It was'nt just about fashion and make up tips either, these were real life articles. One of them, for example was about Mothers who take Cocaine. This was ordinary people like me, who needed to escape the stresses of dailly life, and they chose to it ... Read the complete review

Ive been subscribed to She for a couple of years now. It is not a bad womens magazine actually compared to some Ive read. It's interesting to see what the new beauty products and fashion items are - even if I cant afford them! And it has some interesting articles on relationships etc. But what makes me take it is that they have absolutely brilliant offers to take out a subscription. When I took my latest out I got 50ml of Eternity perfume, plus Eternity body lotion, worth about 40pounds, free with the subsription, plus the subsription is less than the cover price times 12, its about 18 pounds. I coulnt believe what a fantastic offer that was! So if you like the ... Read the complete review
