Disadvantages: Adverts for ringtones and other rubbish!
I have been reading this magazine for a few years and i think its a brilliant magazine. It costs £2.10 and you can buy it from most supermarkets and all newsagents. I buy this at my local Co-op. I buy this as its a great read and has lots of juicy gossip about the celebs and great tips. There is around 130 pages in each book including adverts and ring tone sellers.These get on my nerves and are in every magazine!
FRONT PAGE
The front pages are very bright with a big picture of a celeb on the front. Each magazine has a different celeb on the front. They are mainly girls!! I have never seen a male on the front of a Sugar Magazine!! Though what i find stupid is that the celeb on the front block the title of the magazine! You can only read 's u half of g and half of r' .There are titles and the things in the magazine in bold letters on he front. Also with the magazine you get various free gifts. There is normally 1 free gift and there are offers for free gifts you can send off for but you have to pay for postage!!! :(
INSIDE THE MAGAZINE
Inside the magazine there are many features.
There are QUIZZES such as 'what are you pressure points' this is in the magazine that i have in front of me. It is a 3 paged quiz and i enjoy filling these out!! lol!
There are a whole section on BOYS!! yes you heard me BOYS!! There are tips like 'how to lose a date in 3 easy ways!' there are boy lookalikes where there are boys sending in pictures saying how they look like a celeb!! There is a 'sugar lad test' where there is a test where a woman goes round and finds out what men like! There is a Lads astro love guide!! These things vary in different mags but they are along the same lines. There are some great posters of really good looking men!
There are FILM AND MUSIC REVIEWS where people rate what they think of films and music. There are COMPOTITIONS where you can win really great prizes. I have never tried this yet!!
I think this is the best magazine for 'problems solved' as there are 6 pages of problems these are Friends and family, Boys, Sex, Health, Fitness and cash and careers. And on each one there are loads of interesting detailed answers which id helpful to every one.
There is a 3 pages star signs! For each star sign there is a fortune for everyday for a month, so you know why it takes up so many pages!! There are great real live stories like 'you have to be fat to go to my school', 'My boob exploded' and 'I'm 14, a girl, and I've been branded by a rapist' These are really good stories and well worth the read! The stories are at least 1 page long and can reach up to 4 pages. Some are very disturbing and some can be really sad.
There are a lot of styles and beauty tips. They have clothes, make-up, hair styles and how to look good this month. Which often i use to keep my styles up!
There are some great celeb gossip! I am normally the first out of friend group to find out what is happening in the celeb world!! Thats how i found out about Jordan being preggie!!
OVERALL
I think this magazine is well worth the read even if you a bit older than a teen!! lol! And i would NOT recommend this to ANY boys at all as it is obviously aimed at girls!!!
I buy these very often and i really enjoy it! The free gifts are normally really good. I have got a pineapple bag, make-up and make-up bags. I would recommend it to any girl!!
