Gadgets! Gimme gimme gimme them all! I want gadgets and if I can’t have gadgets I want to know about them. Now that the momentary madness has passed we’ll have a closer look at what exactly it is that I'm harping on about this time. I’ve just bought myself a copy of T3, the magazine that promises to bring us tomorrow’s technology today. Are you already watering at the mouth? I know that I am (but I am about as sad as it gets). For most normal people out there T3 may well just be a letter and a number and I have to confess that although I had heard of this monthly magazine before I had never bothered to buy an issue. In the pure interests of providing the knowledge to other Dooyoo readers I decided to take the plunge and grab the latest issue. The first thing I noticed is that it’s lovely. Wait a sec, I haven’t totally lost the plot! It’s just a fairly packed and glossy magazine. It oozes quality, something special. That feeling continues when you peruse the front cover to discover what’s happening in the latest issue. I have also noticed that there is a young lady on the front of each issue although don’t let this fool you into believing that this is FHM with gadgets, that simply isn’t the case. One of the first things you will find inside the mag is a double-sided index containing all of the magazine contents as well as some good sized pictures to tempt you with the goodies which are to follow. Showcase: FLIPPING ‘ECK! Those pictures are gigantic! If you want to see a few products in tremendous detail then these pages are for you my friends. Take an MP3 player, enlarge a photo of it six or seven times and add some informative text and you’re there. Technofile: This takes up a fair amount of the magazine, around 20% of it in fact and contains loads of information about all kinds of developments in the world of technology. It’s
not all about microchips either, don’t be surprised if you find cars and even drinks in here. You’re probably beginning to realise that this mag isn’t just for hardware geeks, it’s for all kinds of geeks! Features: These are the big stories and let the writers have a little freedom with what they put to paper. Just about anything could be covered here but in this particular issue they are running a series of features concentrating on all things Japanese. Japan is of course a source of constant technological developments but there are some quirkier elements to be found here too. Once again you can expect intelligent yet witty written information as well as excellent photographs to accompany it. On Test: This lot know their stuff and if you’ve got any sense you’ll listen to what they’ve got to say about the latest products. If you don’t know your DVD from your MP3 then this is just the place for you. As well as individual product reviews the T3 team also have comparison group tests, which put various similar pieces of equipment against each other. At the end you get their verdict and I have found this to be totally fair and with products I know about, accurate too. If a particular product deserves a slating then they’ll give it one, if it’s the best thing since sliced bread then they won’t be ashamed to tell you either. You can’t ask for more than that can you? When I say ‘products’ don’t just expect PC’s and WAP phones, they reviewed a Maserati (a car just in case you don’t know). On top of all this you get all of the usual typical magazine features such as Q&A pages, editorial, adverts (can be very useful) and subscription information. That swiftly leads me to that particular point, subscriptions. You can subscribe for £30.95 a year (saving of £11.30) or by direct debit for £15.48 every six months. Postage is included
of course and it knocks around a pound of each issue. A great mag, intelligent reading and not at all dull (even if you’re not as geeky as me!). If that's not enough you can check out their web site over at www.t3.co.uk (easiest web address ever?!). Highly recommended. MR.COATES

'Eek!' at all those non-member reads - that must be some sort of record. It's just a shame you don't get paid for them really!
Just live happily in the knowledge that your work has reached a much wider audience.....
