I thought it was about time I wrote another op because ANDREWSJK is having a moan, so this one is to shut him up :0)

I started reading Take A Break from the very first issue and haven`t missed an issue since. This is the only magazine that I read with regularity and at 66p it`s well worth every penny.

The reason I like this magazine is because it`s full of stories about real people and real lives. Most other women`s magazines are full of stories about celebrities and what`s happening in the soaps, all articles that you will have read in other such magazines.

Along with the stories are the competitions, and because they are so easy and only cost you the price of a stamp to enter, then they are well worth doing.

The health section is also excellent, each week there are different accounts of how a reader copes with a certain illness. As well as this there is also a page for Dr Knott`s embarrassing problems. This is where readers write in about a health problem they are experiencing and the Dr will answer your query.

There`s also the usual stuff that most magazines have, such as the weekly horoscopes, problem pages, and fashion articles.

There are quite a few pages of advertisements but no more than any other weekly mag.

Liz Wilde will also help you with a beauty problem that you may have, such as what make-up or cream to use. Even better, if your letter is published you will also get paid £20, and another £20 if you include a photo.

There`s also several holiday articles each week along with a chance to win yourself a trip to whichever destination is featured.

Coffee break fiction is also a favourite of mines. These are one page fiction stories that are normally pretty good, and some weeks you might even find two stories.

The brainwave roadshow is another one of my favourite sections. Here readers write in with their most useful tip. I`ve got quite a few good ideas from this page,
from ways to save money on certain things to how to recycle a certain item to make something else.

All articles that are published will earn the writer some extra spending money, the payments range from £20 up to £300 for more in depth stories.

Another good thing about Take A Break is the lack of tacky sex articles and surveys, you won`t find many of these in here.

All in all an excellent read at a fairly cheap price, I truly recommend you give it a try.

Oh, and just in case anyone wants to know, I haven`t won a bean. Nor have I sent in any articles because my family is normal and my washing machine hasn`t run off with the hamster ;0)
