Advantages: Lurid, in a good way

This is one of life's oddities! No story is too lurid or unlikely to fill its pages. The more lurid the better to be exact, one look at the stories on the cover will leave you with no doubt about that, 'He waved his severed arm at me' being one that lingers, unwanted, with me!

A weekly magazine costing under a pound, you're not going to get quality but you'll get quantity. Stories, letters, top tips, puzzles etc. fill the pages.

One strange thing about these magazines is how odd and bizarre the stories are and yet they're all true! Not quite in the 'National Enquirer' league but you couldn't make these stories up, no one would believe you. That's Life has a dedicated 'crime scene' page that features a grisly murder each week, complete with graphic photos. Not for the faint hearted, nor are the plentiful medical horrors that abound too!

Perhaps I'm dwelling on the sensational, there's plenty of helpful hints (many funny ones too) interesting stories and entertainment here too, one for a quick read.

Summary: Something for everyone
