Advantages: A Good Read

Disadvantages: None

The Daily Record is the biggest selling newspaper in Scotland and rightly so. Compared to other tabloid newspapers, it has got the Scottish people's opinions at heart and likes to campaign on behalf of worthwhile Scottish causes. In my opinion the writing is not done in a biased way, but lets the reader decide for themselves which way they want to judge the issues.

I must concede that when it comes to their sports pages there can be a element of favouritism towards any one team but that all depends on which team you support. If it is viewed with an open-mind then the writing can be quite enjoyable.

Another reason why I like this paper is that it has got a lot of Scottish-based stories compared to other so-called Scottish newspapers and can always be relied upon to give a well-balanced opinion for the people of our country. I have grown up always thinking that this paper represents the views of an average working-class Scot, just like myself.

I think The Daily Record is a good read and a great advertisement for all things Scottish.

Great opinion. It's nice to hear about the media from some of England's backwater colonies such as Scotland sometimes. Long live the queen, keep it up. -Tzunami
