Advantages: Fits easily on your desk during lunchtime.

Disadvantages: Often delivered late to the newsagent.

I find the Evening Standard reasonably priced and a decent read.
It has a lesser incidence of the attempts at politically inspired crowd rousing rhetoric many of the other papers seem to indulge in.

Like the other papers, it does consistently make rallying calls, which are always great for getting a mob behind you, thus raising circulation figures. It does amuse me, however, that in the Evening Standard's case, it has decided that the best way to get a mob behind you in London is to make transport the issue.

A sad but true portrayal of the state of transport in London.

Thanks for the empathy. I had to wait a whole lot longer for an op to be deleted. I think that I have two deleted ops to my name.

What gets to me is that I stayed on topic, so what's my excuse for being bad? Lol.

Yikes! I found your very first op!! How scary. It's about as useful as mine was - mine was so bad it was almost instantly deleted!! (It was supposed to be about cats but I wrote about garden birds - Doh!) Tee Hee! moomin
