The Herald is the essential newspaper for anyone who wants to keep up to date with what's going on in Scotland. Whereas the Scotsman never misses a chance to foist their political views on their readers, the Herald is much more neutral. The Herald has always had decent sports coverage, although football does tends to dominate. Some other sports never seem to get a mention - for example, I have seen in the past that the Le Mans 24 hours is not deemed important enough to merit an article (or at least tell the reader who won!). And the football stories do concentrate on the Old Firm, with perpetual speculation about who is next on the shopping list. ...  Read the complete review
