Premium Review The Observer: Thorough and absorbing (292 words)
by - written on 19/08/09 (Very useful, 4 readings)
Rating:

If I'm going to observe (!) the time - honoured British Sunday ritual of traipsing to the newsagents to purchase a paper, it will usually be the Observer that accompanies me back to my abode past occasionally sun-dappled, leafy arbours and scum-flecked roadside puddles. So, with a nice mug of Earl Grey and my comfy slippers back on, I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review FIRST TO TELL TRUTH ON 9 11 (621 words)
by - written on 11/08/02 (Very useful, 176 readings)
Rating:

Which newspaper was going to be the first to break the story that 9 11 was 'an inside job'? Which newspaper was going to gain a world exclusive? Which newspaer? To my surprise it was The Observer. On 27 Oct 02 the Observer gave us four, yes four, full sized pages detailing the arguments. ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review The Observer: Azed But Not Confused (1265 words)

First published on December 4th 1791, The Observer is the UK's oldest Sunday newspaper, and is now linked with the Guardian in a sort of liberal alliance. So if you're after xenophobia, homophobia, or anyonewhodisagreeswithusophobia you should stick to reading the Mail, Sun, Telegraph or your local paper. Main Section - ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Try living in the real world, instead of a shell (441 words)
by - written on 21/06/01 (Very useful, 89 readings)
Rating:

Well, after over 10 years of regular Sunday reading, I've finally had enough of The Observer. It may be the country's oldest newspaper, but any sense of dignity or responsibility that may come with that title are strangely absent from this increasingly shallow little rag. I originally began buying The Observer as it is, to all ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Observer - getting better & better (243 words)
by - written on 02/04/01 (Useful, 18 readings)
Rating:

In my opinion the Observer is the best Sunday paper available in this country. Having been a regular reader for more than two years now I am confident in stating that standards continue to improve and the paper is now a thoughtful, intelligent and interesting work. As you would expect from a broadsheet the coverage of news and politics ...  Read the complete review

The Observer: Great (90 words)

I like this I think it is really good and it is a very good idea. I use it all the time and I think that you should get it too. I like this because it works really well, and if you get it you would use it all the time too. I really think that you should go out and buy this now, because you will not know what you are missing unless you buy this. So ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Is the Observer trying to be cool? (157 words)
by - written on 19/10/00 (16 readings)

If anyone else bought the observer last weekend they would have noticed they recieved a free Moby cd. If this was a ploy to boost sales I think it was a good one. I don't usually buy the obeserver but when I saw there TV ad detailing there CD offer it was enough to convince me to buy it. After buying the paper, my opinion was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Observer: Sports Section is good. (232 words)

Rating:

If you have been to the footy on saturday (or even if you haven't) and you are looking for a good sports supplement to take to the bathroom (!!!) in the morning, then I find that this is good. You get a paper the size of a normal broadsheet on sunday, which is wholly devoted to sport, and about half of this is about football. It's great ...  Read the complete review
