Advantages: Great for Football
Disadvantages: A little light on other sports coverage
I started buying this paper when it was 50p, I still buy it now it costs 70p. Although the title suggests it is sport first, the main emphasis is on Football. The Premiership being the main focus. For those that like Football statistics this paper is a dream. The Premier is its main focus and each game gets full coverage, it not only includes a write up of each match but has a host of other things to keep the footie fam amused Reaction Match Stats Fans View (a report from ordinary fans) They also cover such things as League tables Results Team of the Day (a mix of the best players from all the clubs) Current Form Leading Marksmen Disciplinary Records The Scottish and Nationwide leagues are also covered but they do not receive as much attention as the Premiership. The main strength of this paper for me is it cover other less covered leagues including Irish Welsh Ryman Dr Martens Unibond and youth leagues. It does cover other sports and in general has more coverage of these than the normal type of newspapers, these sports include Golf Cricket Rugby Snooker Tennis Racing along with the seasonal sports as they happen. For a good sport read without all the other stuff that comes with Sunday papers I think this is a good paper at 70p. It also has a web site at www.sportfirst.com
