The Stage newspaper has been around now for over 100 years - I myself have only been buying it for the last ten. I used to love the stage, and it was always considered to be the one thing any budding artiste should buy on a regular basis. Whether you're an actor, a singer, a musician, a topless dancer, a look-a-likee, there was always something of interest. Now it's one of those papers that I buy if I happen to think about it - which isn't very often. I am very interested in music and acting being within amateur productions and this paper has been the best thing i have bought. Not only does the paper give you audtions for up and coming musicals it also gives advice from how to sing and how contact the right agent to where to start looking for work and how to act in an audtion. Not only is it for actors and singers you can get many other jobs for example, the website (www.thestage.co.uk) is great as you can get audtions and interviews at the click of a mouse for many things, e.g. acting, musciains, backstage, front of house staff even waiters.
