It is very hard to believe that this is a free paper.

It is the size of the local weekly rag called Somerset County Gazette.

In fact this paper is brought to you from this Somerset County Gazette.

It comes out every Wednesday.

It might be free but it is not just full of advertisements which is what you usually expect from papers that are free. No this one has all the latest news of what is happening in the Taunton and Wellington area for the past week. It also has lots of photographs taken at the events.

If you are job hunting in the area it has a very good recruiting section of 11 pages. The house hunting selection is very good too and the variety of house prices and size of house is across the board for everyone.

With Taunton having a very good cricket team - (had to mention that) and the Somerset cricket team of course, you will find lots of good sports pages on local teams as well as the County ones.

In the Star News you realise how close this paper and the Gazette is as it gives details of local events but also has "get the fuller story in the Somerset Gazette" printed by the stories. This does seem to defeat the object as it is quite an adequate enough story in this free paper.

You might wonder then what is the point of buying the Gazette when this paper is free but the fact is this covers Taunton and Wellington and not a lot of the smaller villages and towns that the pay for paper does.

I cannot see how they do this paper for free, yes it has some advertisements but there is on the news side.

Buy this and there is no excuse for not knowing what is going on in Taunton or to miss out on some of the events talked about.
