What is the sun ? *
The Sun is a British Tablod Newspaper availble in The Uk and Ireland.The current editor is Ross Kemp's fiance Rebekah Wade .
The Sun began on September 15th 1964.
The Sun is published monday to saturday and costs a small price of 35p.
The sun includeds news , celebrities , sport , health , entertainment and lots more.
* Logo *
The Sun logo features a small font of 'THE' in white above a large white font of 'SUN' with a red background.
* Features *
* Page three *
This is page is very well known.Each day it features a topless model.This is perhaps the suggestion that this newspaper is mainly aimed at men.
* The Sun Says *
This is a column where the sun puts it's view across on news such as the England Football Team and Euro 2008.
* Bizzare *
This is a double page article edited by Victoria Newton.This article features the top 20 singles chart and top 10 albums chart along with all the recent gossip from celebland such as news and pictures of recent events such as Girl's Aloud's recent performance at the G.A.Y club.
* Tv Biz *
This is similar to Bizzare , yet this covers television news.Such news includeds a cartoon of how Britney will look if she appears on the Simpsons.
* Offers *
The Sun ocasionally offers , offers such as 'Free High School Musical Pack' . To get this you have to collect tokens.For this specific offer I think you had to collect four tokens.
* Daily Tv Guide *
This guide is handy in my opinion because you can plan ahead what everyone in the family wants to watch before the night begins meaning causing no arguments over the remote control.
The guide covers programmes from BBC1 ,BBC2 , ITV 1 , Channel 4 and channel 5 plus a few channels on sky. Anlla Baig has a corner on this page where she tells you what to watch tonight.
Also this guide also has a radio section where you can see what shows are on the radio which is good.
There's also a movie guide.
* Dear Sun *
This is the lettes page where they print reader's letters. There is a little sign by the title of this page which says " The Page Where You Tell Britain What You Think " which I think is effective because it makes you think " If I write in , I'll be telling everyone in the uk what I think" .
Approx 30 letters are printed on this page per day.

The sun also has a website ( www.thesun.co.uk) where you can share your views plus it has many other items , such as news and articles featured in the newspaper.Altho there is competitions on there.
* Horoscopes *
Mystic Meg shares her horoscopes of the day. I find sometimes they can be accurate and others times they're not...but that's just my opinion.
* Sun Woman *
This page is edited by Sally Brook.This page features articles such as 'Single of the week' , this doesn't mean what you'd expect ' single of the week ' to be , it means ' Single Man of the Week'.
Also on Sun Woman , if you turn over the page . There is an article which features a sun reader who has lost weight. There is a picture of how she used to look and how she looks now.
She says about what she used to eat and what she eats now she has lots the weight.
She also says about the exerise she used to do before losing weight and what exercise she does now.
There is a 'fitness squad' of three experts who help her :
Nicki Waterman - Guides her on fitness
Amanda ursell - Guides her on diet
Erica Davies - Guides her on fashion
Also on this feature celebs share their diet / fitness tips.For example Leona Lewis says she keeps fit by belly dancing.
There is also a beauty and hair page edited by Sue and Cheryl.Here they share their tips.
* Dear Deidre *
Deidre is the sun's agony aunt. Readers write in with their problems whether they're relationship based or friendship based , she helps.Approx six readers' problems are printed per day along with Deidre's advice.
Deidre also has her own helplines which you can ring if you need to chat about a problem. Such helplines include talking about rows you've had with a partner or friend.
On this page there is also 'Deidre's Case Book'. This is a 'photo story' of usually a man and a woman....and there's a problem such as the man is cheating on the woman....the story continues each day.
* Puzzle Page *
There is a Puzzle page which features approx. five puzzles such as Crosswords and sudoki.For one puzzle you can win a prize such as ipod nano.The rest of the puzzles are just for fun so you don't win a prize.
* Sun Shop *
This advertises one different product each day , usually something to do with the home , perhaps a vacumn cleaner or something.You usally get it cheaper from the sun which is good.
To order you have to call a number and give the quote that is printed.
* Sport *
The last section of the newspaper surrounds sport , mainly football , although it does cover other sports such as horse racing , rugby , greyhounds , golf , tennis and hockey.There isn't much on women's sport.
* Adverts *
The sun features many adverts such as Virgin Media and Marks and Spencers.There are sometimes 'whole page' adverts such as Tesco adverts.
Towards the end of the newspaper there are adverts from loans and remortgages companies.
* My View on The Sun *
This paper makes a great read for male and female readers.Males have the page three and sport sections and women have the 'Sun Woman' and celebrity articles.I like the Sun however I dislike the sports pages and page three (obviously).
The Sun is great because it's cheap and more entertaining and easier to read than papers such as the 'Guardian'. Therefore I would reccommend the Sun. I give the Sun a 9/10!
Thanks for Reading :)
