The Sun newspaper (The Sun)

Advantages: good tabloid Disadvantages: more celebrity than important matters The Sun along with The Star is pretty much your typical british red top tabloid newspaper , its the complete opposite to the intellectual broadsheet reads such as The Telegraph , The Independent and The Guardian . If you prefer reading about Kerry Katona rather than Parliament happenings then the sun would be great for you . One thing I do take my hat off to the sun for is their help for wounded troops campaign which had great media coverage which the injured troops so definitely deserve . I cant remember the name now but im sure it was 'help for heroes' or something along those lines . The sun has had its fair share of controversy in its time which resulted in a huge 'Boycott The Sun' campaign in the Merseyside area after one of their journalists wrote disgraceful accusations about the Liverpool Football Club fans behaviour in The Hilsborough tragedy of 1989 .It does have a good sports pullout caled 'score' if I remember correctly and The Sun do run a fantasyy football league . The 'captain crunch section i the sun is a great advice page in the current recession also . Summary: if your a tabloid fan ..... |
