THE SUN NEWSPAPER
The Sun has got to be the best paper around, in my opinion it is far better than the Daily Star (which is a rubbish paper) and the Daily Express. The Sun has been running for a good few years now, since 1964 In believe. The Sun is published by News Group international, who also made the defunct News Of The World (shame that had to go too.) The Sun costs 30p weekdays and 60p on a Saturday, (sorry for this but I do not know how much the price of The Sun costs on a sunday) Now I will mention to you the main part of the review, what's inside The Sun!
THE WEEKDAY VERSION OF THE SUN
The Sun is published everyday and costs 30p (as mentioned above) and covers news (what else!?) and a few things on celebrities and soaps too! In The Sun logo you get the date (Friday 9th September), the price (30p) and the website (www.thesun.co.uk) Todays edition you get a free caramel Aero worth 60p (only available at Morrisons) On the front page you get the main headlines for that day, so if you get a murder or any crime its featured in here on any of the pages. Any main headlines featured on the cover has 1 or 2 pages.
GORDON SMARTS BIZZARE
A few pages on celebrity gossip and TV (not much else to say.)
AFTER BIZZARE
More pages on news and the normal news (crimes, death, arrests, kidnaps etc.)
SPORTS SECTION
The sports section covers all sports really well and gets into depth of what's going on. It covers all sports exceptionally well and makes sure you never miss anything.
ADDED EXTRAS
A few added extras this time round, one is the TV guide, well, actually, it's a TV guide, but it is only featured for that day. So, if you are available to buy The Sun everyday, you don't need to bother with a TV guide unless you want soap news. The TV guide covers 63 channels (that's including 9 radio channels) so overall a good TV guide. You do get a TV guide on saturday and that will be featured in the next section.
DEAR DEIRDRE
A problems and letters page where people send in their problems and Deirdre sends them answers in the newspaper.
SATURDAY EDITION
The Saturday edition of The Sun costs twice the price of the daily edition (so it cost's 60p) but in my opinion it's worth it. The Saturday edition of The Sun is the same as the daily editions but contains a TV guide and a celebrity and real life glossy magazine. The TV guide is called TV buzz (formerly called buzz) and used to contain lifestyle conent but know is stripped of lifestyle content to avoid clashing with Fabulous (see below) and now only has TV and soaps. The magazine covers 69 channels meaning it is the third biggest and best TV magazine in the country next to TV & Satellite Week (89 channels) and Total TV guide (88 channels) and just covers two more than the RadioTimes (67 channels) which is quite impressive and it's free! Fabulous is around a 76 page glossy which covers lifestyle, celebrity gossip and real life. It was voted supplement of the year and was transferred from the defunct News Of The World to The Sun, so it's even better value at only 60p!
SUMMARY
In my opinion The Sun is the best newspaper around, it's way better than any other paper around and it covers a lot more, it's basically a vastly underated paper with people who don't read it look down their nose at you! But that's their problem not ours! Try it and you'll love it!
THANKS FOR READING! :-))
Summary: An OK paper that has many dislikes
