Advantages: cheap, good stories, great sport coverage, free weekly TV guide
Disadvantages: none
I know that The Sun isn't given much credit for being a good newspaper, but personally myself I rate it as the best and is the only one that I bother buying. For those of you that don't know, the paper costs 30p during weekdays and is 35p on a Saturday (because you get racing and football pullouts, along with a glossy TV magazine). I think that this offers very good value. Admittedly The Sun doesn't take some of it's stories as seriously as some of the papers but they do deal with the important stories with the dignity that they deserve. Also unlike some of the other tabloids (The Mirror) they aren't scared of attacking the government. You get the standard front page. This is followed by several pages of news and stories, an entertainment section, the agony aunt page, a very in depth coverage of the days racing, and also very thorough sports coverage of all sports. Also on a Monday you get the Goals pull out which has a review of every league game played the previous weekend, along with all the fixtures for the coming week. It's a must for any football fan. Overall I think The Sun is the top tabloid paper to buy, and several hundreds of thousands of people agree with me everyday as it is the biggest selling nespaper in the country.

- 29/01/01 Have you ever read a decent broadsheet ? For 15p extra - you can get real news and no page 3 girl. Perhaps you would struggle with the pages or the big words !!! |
