Advantages: Simple, easy to read
Disadvantages: Simple
It’s known as The Sun, or The Old Currant Bun, And the buns can be found on page three, On the front page is news, you’ll want to peruse, Sensational headlines you’ll see! Inside on page two, you will find a few More stories to tickle your delight. But gloss over page three, and have a look-see At the crossword, did you get it right? But hey, do the Bingo, or turn page for the lingo, See the best chat up lines used abroad. Turn to Littlejohn, the TV WhatsOn, See the cartoons if you’re really bored. Back to page three, is that really a SHE? How possibly real are those bits? Those girls look so young, their praises are sung And haven’t they got such huge hits…. In the Top Ten Charts, which you’ll find further on Past the recipes, the weather, the ads And just read the news, the Royal Who’s Whos, And latest in fashionable fads. Turn again to page three, and you might need a wee, If you’re male you’ll peruse it at leisure. Sit down for a while, cartoons make you smile And page three once again gives you pleasure. Roll up the old paper, a jolly good caper It doubles as wonderful loo roll. Just tear off a bit, while you do your, erm, business And it’s praises you’re sure to extol. Why read such a treasure, when measure for measure,It beats the most luxurious tissue. The cling factor is good, like you knew it wouldAnd it’s fresh from issue to issue. At just 30p, loads of pages to see, It’s a bargain that few would deny. Sports coverage is grand; give the Sun a big hand And you don’t need a degree to enjoy. It has many uses; you’ll have no excuses For not eating your dinner in style. You’ll be able to eat, the best fish and chips Whilst reading the news at the same time! Overall it’s a paper that likes the odd caper With the
latest news and light-hearted chat. Perhaps not a rival, for the simply delightful Daily Mail which is more serious than that
