Advantages: Tongue-in-cheek, Funny

Disadvantages: ?

I actually like reading the Sun (or 'Scum' as it is affecionately known in our household). I find it a gentle, tongue-in-cheek look at the days news, and at the supposedly important aspects of todays society, Cleavage day being a typical example. I get my serious news from the TV, the Sun allows me the bones of the news, but without the depressing reality of it. What other paper can devote 11 odd pages to the glorification of the Queen Mother (bless er!) and thendebate abolishing the monarchy a few weeks later?
The sheer continuity of opinion is wonderful, I remember not that long ago an article on the teenage pregancy rate and the collapse of family values almost back to back on better sex techniques and 'how to please your man'!! Such giggles are rarely to be found for less than 50p

I say, that you shoud take the Scum with a pinch of salt, if you want serious news than why are you looking at the tabloids in the first place? It's fun, it's the Scum
