Worthwhile new section (The Times)
Member Name: CarpeDiem
Advantages: Small, quick read. Full of stats Disadvantages: Only Premiership teams, some pointless articles
"Football Handbook" now included monthly on Saturdays has greatly changed the Times' coverage of football. The Opta ratings for all Premiership clubs and players are included, and make interesting readings for the statistics fan. There are also a few articles, in the first issue a rather pointless one about the life of a footballer's wife, and a below-par Danny Baker column. There are also sections dotted around the booklet with obscure facts and figures and interesting stories. It is in effect a small version of Four Four Two. But although the supplement fails to mention the lower divisions, which account for a majority of supporters, it makes an interesting read and will be worth a flick through for all supporters of Premiership clubs.
