I had never read TimeOut before although I had often seen it advertised. I obtained my copy for free through an internet freebie site where I just filled in my delivery details and they sent my copy a few days later.
As the name suggests ,this magazine is about going out in London ,and if you are planning to visit the capital or if you live in or around London then this magazine is a great source of information. It has many listings including ;
Museums and exhibitions--times and dates
Theatres--not just the big well known shows and theatres, but also lists smaller lesser known venues and amateur productions
Art Galleries---dates ,times and entry prices of exhibitions
Music events- - a wide range of music events are listed including ;classical.pop,rock
Children`s events--shows ,films ect suitable for under 18s
So you see there is always something for everyone.
The TimeOut issue I recieved was the January 19-25 2012 issue. This particular issue was called The Art Issue ,and contained an in depth feature about David Hockney who will be celebrating his 75th birthday this year .Another Art feature was The Year of Art which is a two page review of information about forthcoming exhibitions in the capital for each month of this coming year.
Timeout also has a good website where you can get more information,buy tickets online, take advantage of special offers and enter competitions.
