Advantages: Well Produced, Helpful Advice for Novices Like Me
Disadvantages: Pricy
I am slowly but surely becoming a golf enthusiast. Hardly a week goes by now when I am not at the local golf range or at the course. Consequently I avidly seek out golf magazines in bookshops, particularly those geared to improving the "ordinary" golfers game. Today"s Golfer is a monthly published by EMAP Pursuite Publishing Limited and the cover price of this publication is around Stg 3 pounds. I have to pay considerably more since the local booksellers mark up the prices of British, Australian and American publications. This golfing title focuses very much on instruction, courses and star players. As regards the former there are loads and loads of most helpful tips and advice for improving your game. There are also equipment reviews which I also find most helpful since I am quite a beginner in knowing about golf equipment. I believe this popular publication has a circulation of around 90.000 and I can understand why it has so many loyal readers. It is a most interesting read, the tips are really useful, and I find the stories of star players are very inspiring. Although I dont buy this magazine evey month it definitely ranks quite high on my preferred reading list. Fortunately there are often copies I can browse through at my local golf club. Thanks so much for reading !
