Torchwood Magazine: For Diehard fans only (Torchwood Magazine)
Member Name: kyara
Advantages: interesting interviews, occasional pull-out poster Disadvantages: many grammatical errors, not much content It was only a matter of time before the popular Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood was given its own official magazine. It's been going for around a year now, and its a bit of a mixed basket. One one hand, it has some extremely interesting articles and what-not, and is a useful companion to the series, but, especially of late, the quality of the magazine hasn't been great. It has the same number of pages as Doctor Who Magazine, but sadly not the same content. Most of the pages are devoted to pictures and pull-out quotes. Then they fill the rest of the space up with a scrappily written article, which, more often than not, is full of spelling and punctuation errors. It does have some good points though. The "where's your head at?" article never fails to disappoint, with a different member of the cast being quizzed on subjects ranging from their first kiss to their Bullfrog Racing Team (this gem came from Burn Gorman, who plays Owen). It was a monthly magazine up until issue 13, from now on it will be released every two months, at the same selling price of £3.99. Summary: This magazine is really only for the mega-obsessed Torchwood fan |
