These days, what will 40p buy you? Not alot - a bag of crisps, a bar of chocolate if you are lucky! Who doesn’t want value for money, or to save money wherever they can? TV Choice is in my opinion, really good value for money. It is only 40p and is a no nonsense, well set out TV listings magazine, that has everything and more that you would expect from a listings magazine. It is on sale every Tuesday, from all good newsagents and supermarkets - for use on the following Saturday, and in it you will find plenty to read and do. There are 63 pages of: - Highlights of what is on all the channels, An interview with a celebrity about their forthcoming role in a drama or series, Cover story - usually about the latest forthcoming soap drama, that is about to unfold, Kids Zone - which has jokes, competitions to win prizes, and features on the latest children’s programmes, Lots of features on drama’s and programmes, that are about to hit our screens, Competitions and Prizes to be won, Horoscopes, Letters in which you can air your views, My favourite section, and always, my first point of call, the highlight of my week - apart from Dooyooing (yes, I am a sad person! LOL) - is the Soap News. Here you will find out all the latest stories, gossip and a weekly update on all the top soaps. and also find out what is coming in the next forthcoming issue. All this, as well as all the listings, which run from the Saturday through to the following Friday. There is a Movie Guide of all the week’s films that will be shown on BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4 and C5 plus all the satellite highlights. A review on one of the latest cinema releases, plus the top 10 of Britain’s most popular films at the cinema. There is also the Kids’ choice - the best children’s films on TV during the week. Fi
nally the TV, Radio and satellite listings to the week’s programmes with Video Plus+ numbers. The listings are set out in an easy to read format, with the days terrestrial television programmes displayed on a double page - BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, with also regional variations listed aswell. The magazine is available for whatever region you require, i.e. Anglia, Yorkshire, Central etc. On the following double pages are the listings for the days Satellite programmes. These are separated into categories: - Sky One, Sports ~~~~~ Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and British Eurosport channels, Radio listings ~~~~~~~~~~~ Radio One, Two, Three, Four, Five Live, Classic FM and TalkSport. Children's programmes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Fox Kids and Cartoon Network. Factual ~~~~~~ Discovery, Animal Planet, History Channel and National Geographic. - 31/05/01 Answer to your Q in the times on Saturday, Ok that is 60p, but you also get the sports news, the news and lots more. I think these publications are fighting a losing battle as the newspapaers provide more pull outs which perform the same function. |
