Radio Times ... don t usually bother buying a TV guide, it s not that i don t watch TV but i tend to know when the programs i like are on, and my partner has a built in soap guide, but it s Christmas! so we have spent £2.20 on a 2 week Christmas issue of the radio times. The magazine * This is one big bumper Christmas issue containing 274 pages, unfortunately there are 56 full pages worth of adverts in amongst the TV listings so only 218 pages of fantastic Christmas TV entertainment. Dr who and Santa Claus himself adorn the front cover, you also get a red flash across the front of the magazine inforning you of a "Free book - The snowman" but i can t see any information abou... TV Choice ... ve just bought my first ever copy of TV Choice magazine. It was 40p and the picture on the front (of Ronnie from Eastenders) and the headline: Ronnie s baby joy prompted me to buy it. 40p is a great price for a week long TV guide, it has 82 thin, glossy pages and within it you get a roundup of the week s TV. You also get a soap guide and a low-down on all the films that will be on over the next seven days. It starts on a Saturday and runs through to Friday. It lists 63 different channels in total, the first spread listing the days TV shows you what is on main the five main terrestrial channels. What's On TV ... few months ago I was an avid soap watcher so religiously every Tuesday I would go out and buy my copy of What s On TV for the following week just so I could read up on the soap but in recent months I have stopped watching the soaps as they have gone very stupid and depressing. I still do buy my TV book just to keep a little following of what is going on and why is being murdered this week but I have actually stared using the guide to find out what is on the TV which I never did before. It may seem like a waste of money to some as I do have a good TV planner and guide on my Sky TV but never seem to use it. The front cover of the book always features soap character wit...
