... Newsweek (and it is cheaper too). I am not sure about how difficult it is to receive it in the UK (I wouldn't have thought it was a problem) and I would definitely buy it in preference to the other weeklies if I saw it on a newstand. If you are interested in current affairs and like Time or Newsweek (or if you sometimes wish they were a bit better) try US News and World Report.

This magazine is a weekly news magazine in the same vein as Time and Newsweek. Like those it mixes US and International news covering everything from politics to science to business. It is very well written, tends to have interesting features and is in my opinion better than Time or Newsweek (and it is cheaper too). I am not sure about how difficult it is to receive it in the UK (I wouldn't have thought it was a problem) and I would definitely buy it in preference to the other weeklies if I saw it on a newstand.
