Advantages: Great for a bit of escapism, good if you're into photography or the fashion business

Disadvantages: Too expensive, full of adverts, not aimed at 'real' women

I can't imagine who Vogue is actually aimed at. Which is not to say that I don't like it. I'm as fond of a bit of escapism as the next person and the fashion photography can be stunning. It's just that Vogue seems to have taken the famous 'You can never be too rich or too thin' quote a little too far. The models seem to be even more emaciated than those used in other fashion magazines. The prices are also utterly ridiculous. I'm sure I could easily become a bit of a shopaholic if I won the lottery, but I definately wouldn't fork out hundreds of pounds for a t-shirt! Vogue is full of photos of people famous for being famous (and having a trust fund) and I can only assume they are who this magazine is aimed at. Vogue is unintentionally funny thanks to the fashion editorial, which just goes to prove that there are women out there who would wear a potato sack if it had a Versace label! Vogue prides itself on being the world's most famous fashion magazine, but there are other magazines out there which are far more cutting edge. Vogue just provides free publicity for the major designers and doesn't seem to have a mind of it's own.

I agree to a certain extent - vogue is a fashion bible for the fashion industry and the articles are far too long and drawn out -example why kings cross is the new clerkenwell blah blah .... you get the idea
