I have always loved fashion, I always love to keep up to date with the latest catwalk trends and have my own original style. I have always loved designer labels but being young still I don't have the money but it doesn't mean I can't copy ideas. Since I realised I loved fashion so much, I thought it would probably be best to get a fashion magazine and have a look to see what one is best. Not all of the magazines have a lot on fashion and they mainly do articles on highstreet fashion and that is not really what I am into because there is mass production and with designer it's unique, usually.

I went along to my local book shop and had a look at the magazines there, now there were quite a lot also the foreign ones there. I picked up InStyle but it was about £3 with not much on fashion in it, some articles were good but not enough of the clothes articles for me. I then knew so much about Vogue because having been on the website a few times I love it so the magazine had to be just as good. I have been buying it for several months now, there are great articles and a lot of information and great pictures.

I will tell you a bit about the latest Vogue copy in the shops because it's probably the easiest way to give readers an example of what is in this magazine. The magazine costs £3.20 but you can subscribe for a year or two years and make it a lot cheaper. The magazine is always easy to spot on the shelves because the covers are always eye catching with the bold white writing. There is always a model on the front usually wearing designer clothes and some articles titles on the front.

One bad point about this magazine is that have of the pages are adverts for designers. As soon as I open up the latest issue I see Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, Gucci, Donna Karan, adverts that is including contents until finally I get to another contents page. They will make a lot of money for all of the advertising, sometimes the adverts can be
interesting to look at and can make you want to find out more about designers which is their main purpose. You usually flick through lots of pages and then you get to the main articles but lots of the magazine is pictures which is mainly what I like but for some they might prefer more reading, it atleast takes thirty pages to get to the first article.

There are articles where usually a trend is given and then many examples of items for this trend are given on the page. The one in the April issue is battle dress so then there are khakis and all army type clothes. There is a mixture of designer and highstreet though they know some readers can't afford the designer so they do a mix but mostly the items displayed are designer. The prices are given and detail of where to get them so that is always a good thing.

They usually have a look at some items from the catwalk e.g motobike wear which is shown on one page and then three items which would make you get that look. There is also news for new shop openings and examples of the kind of clothes sold there or some of the best items to give you an idea if you want to visit the shop.

In one page there is a bird inspired look from the catwalk with items that feature birds on them so they also tell you where you can get these. They aren't the actual items from the catwalk but they are ideas of clothes with birds on them. There is also news of new labels and what they have to offer. There are examples of who has worn this label and what style they do and where the nearest stores are, this can be quite interesting.

Between the pages there are some perfume samples also and coupons to exchange at boots for testers so that is an idea of some freebies. There are true life sotries also they can be about anyone, authors, models, anybody. There are film and book sections too where in this issue there is film world view on actors and actresses and fashion from certain countries also in films.


There are some articles on food also from countries all around the world. The article in this magazine features on food from different places, Marks & Spencer and Harvey Nichols, mainly on chocolates.

There are a lot of articles on shoes as well which I always love because I am a shoe fan. In this issue it's all about gold and silver shoes heels and flats. They are not really affordable for all but there are some nice shoes and a mixture of cheaper ones with expensive but the maximum price is £400. In this magazine there are articles on summer dresses, what ones are best and quite simple. There are some great dresses and they are all designer here though from the catwalk.

There are make up articles and accessories too and lots of recommendations on certain products. They have a look at famous people to find out what they have been wearing and give ideas of outfits to wear. There are looks at what models on the catwalk have been looking and specific designers makeup looks on the catwalk.

There is a trend picked out usually when they have a look around to see what everyone has been wearing and then they show them all because it is models they usually check to see what they are wearing. They do lots of pages also on colours etc and have alook at actresses and singers also.

I could tell every page and go on for ages but I think you get the idea this magazine has great articles on everything fashion related with accessories, jewellery, shoes and makeup included, also bags. A great read but not for those who want a lot of reading. Great styles and the best way to keep up with the styles that are forever changing.
