There is a paper in the staffordshire area that comes under the name of THE WAY WE WERE. This newspaper contains stories and photographs of memories and historic places of the Staffordshire areas.
These pictures have been copied with their owners permission and it is really brilliant to be able to jog people's memories and get them talking about their pasts!
Sometimes it is nice to learn about where things were once so that you can visualise them where something new stands now. So much is lost from our ancestors and history that newer generations can't even imagine what it must have been or looked like long ago.
This newspaper used to cost around 50 pence but it was the size of a daily one. Recently it has been upgraded to a magazine type newspaper of a new price of £1.50. But considering the wealth of history locally that you can research and learn about the Potteries it is truly worth every penny.
Keep them coming and try to discover, in the Potteries and Stoke-on-Trent, THE WAY WE WERE!!
