Advantages: Well written, wide audience, full content
Disadvantages: quality has improved
This is a relatively new magazine and it's definately beginning to grow on me. It's still at the trial price of 99p which makes it a real bargain. It's got a range of sections including news, best new websites and reader pages. The May edition in particular I felt had some good articles. The article on the late Douglas Adams was a well written tribute giving a brief taste of his work and career. A section at the end listed further websites related to Douglas Adams to explore and this prompted me to do so. The article on shopping abroad was also well written, well researched and informative. The real life experiences gave a human interest and gave some really useful advice. Having recently had some problems with my computer the section on pc problems was timely indeed. It gave a list of web sites to help with pc problems with a short review of each. They have been really useful in solving my problem and saved me a lot of money at the local computer repair shop. They even had a section on the Mac often forgotten about by so many magazines. It seems to get the balance right between internet novice and internet expert and is ideal for a wide audience. It has its own web site to complement the magazine and this is worthy of a seperate review on its own - lots of good stuff! There are mercifully few adverts and if the price stays somewhere near the 99p mark I will definately become a regular reader.
