Advantages: cheap, 90 pages, no adverts

Disadvantages: every fortnight

I never buy magazines, well hardly ever. I think the only time i buy magazines is when i am in the magazine buying mood or for when i go on holiday. I think the only magazine i have actually bought before i started buying web user was the FHM, full of girls, girls, girls and did i mention girls. Enough of the boring sensless humour here is my review on web user the magazine.

Web user is available in most supermarkets and newsagents throughout the uk. At the present time web user is priced at a very affordable 99p, let me tell you at the moment this is a trial price but i have already bought three issues.

We user is a small magazine which coimes out every fortnight informing you of great web sites and great deals on the web, if it wasnt for this magazine i would never know that dooyoo existed. I read about dooyoo in a star letter coloumn. THANX WEB USER! Every week we user is about 90 pages long, this is just wrght for me and many other users as i hate a big clumpy magazine with loads of adverts. Web user hardly has any advertisments which is also a good point.

For every issue there is a cover story, a cover story is the main issue and column in the magazine, usually has a big picture on the front page, and usually very very interesting.

Every issue also contains workshops which basically give you a step by step guid for performing different tasks on your computer and on the internet.

for example.

* Creating a web page
* How to join a newsgroup

These are just a few of the different workshops covered in the last three issues.

Throughout the magazine there are many tests, were the magazine test crew get a number of similar products, software, hardware together and perform tests to see whick performs great and which performs badly in different areas. For exampl this weeks issue they tested instant message servers. ie- aol, msn. They then rate each into a catogory - Gold award, Silver Award and
bronze award. This makes it clear and simple to tell which is the best available product.

One thing what i like about this web user magazine is that it involves alit of user opinions. There are many letter pages where you can write in with your opinion and get it solved. I think in the last issue there were 5 pages on this topic.

The magazine and staff are very simple and tend to project the magazine to both beginners and experienced readers. Me my self as an intermediate have the best of both worlds.

All in all i rate this magazine as a great guide to surfing the net. If your bored pick it up and try some of the weird and funky sites the team find. The great thing is that its only 99p! Keep up the good work boys!
