In my opinion the Web user series of magazines really are fantatsic. The first thing that I love about them is there price. Considering that one issue costs just £1.99 I found that really reasonable as it is very cheap when comparerd with other similar magazines. What I love most about he magazine is that it is really easy to read. The content of ... Read the complete review

I'm an irregular reader of Web User magazine - I probably buy 3 or 4 copies per year to give me something to flick through whilst I'm on holiday. I find Web User to be a very basic magazine - it's seemingly aimed at novice computer users or people who aren't overly-confident about using the Internet. I'm a professional web developer and ... From the moment I first got on the internet back in 1996 I have bought so many PC and Internet magazines when I'm out and about. Years ago I would usually buy the more expensive £4.99 magazines such as Computer Active, etc simply for the free disk on the front, which I always thought would be useful to have, but most of the time it remained on the ... Web User is a fortnightly magazine from the people who publish ComputerActive, and is an invaluable guide for anyone who uses the internet regularly. It retails at £1.99 and is packed with information. In each issue are the following sections: Welcome/contents: does what it says on the tin! News: the current issue contains ... I usually find magazines a bit of a bore and most of the pages contain alot of advertising, or articles about nothing so I find them a waste of money! So I rarely actually buy or read magazines. That was until I met my husband who introduced me to Web User. The way the magazine is set out makes it easy to read. It is crammed ... Read the complete review

If I’m honest, I don’t usually do magazines. I always think that those endless rows of glossies that you see adorning the shelves of WH Smith are just a license to print money. There’s usually everything from magazines for puppet enthusiasts to the riveting “Crochet Monthly” and sometimes the “Bank of England” weekly, which may *well* be a license ... With an array of internet-based magazine publications on the market it is hard to single out one in particular. Each person has his or her own preferences. My personal preference is the fortnightly issues of Web User, which claims to be the ?UK?s best-selling internet magazine? with 67,250 readers (ABC statistics for Jan-Dec 2002). So, for me what ... Anyone who uses the internet regularly will know it's not an easy task finding the best sites around, you either stumble on them by accident, hear about them from a friend or spend forever trawling through various search engines in your quest. I have been reading this magazine since the second or third issue, and didn't expect to get hooked. I have never taken a computer mag before since they all looked far too scary to me and seemed to be aimed at people who already had a good idea of what they were doing. Me, I was new to the internet and really unsure of how to get up ... Read the complete review

Firstly let me say that I'm not a regular reader of this magazine...in fact, I've read it twice and both times it was a freebie copy which came through my letter box. As such, I'm not going to be offering the most informed of opinions on the subject...then again, there are reasons why I've never been interested in purchasing copies ... Read the complete review

WebUser has now been published just 13 times, and in that 13 editions, it has taught me more about the internet than anything else I have read. The magazine is published fortnightly by IPC Media and at 99p is a real bargain. This is an excellent magazine for anyone interested in computers, I came across it when I visited the web-user.co.uk web page and when I went to the shops to check the magazine out I found it was at a special price of 99p. At last a really good value computer magagazine packed with useful information, good advice and informative reviews. First the bad news it has just gone up in price from its trial price of 99p to £1.20. However, everything else is good news. Anyone reading this that ‘knows’ me, will ‘know’ that I am not a complete ‘Internet Junkie’, merely a humble acolyte who ‘knows her place’ at the feet of the one true Internet Junkie. I have bought and read Web User since Issue 2. Although I have been using the internet for a few years now, my enjoyment was somewhat hampered by the use of a rather old and slow PC. Todays magazines seem to be getting more expensive and less informative. This is why Web User has found it so easy to come into the magazine trade and take over. Firstly its price is pounds below the rest, its currently 99p although it should be going up to £1.50 soon, but still whos going to argue at that. It may not have the demo CDs that its ...
