Advantages: Wicked recipes; Interesting articules

Disadvantages: The bits about diets are boring but that's my fault cos I'm not interested in that!

I don't diet but my mum buys the Weight Watchers magazine every month and I always have a flick through it because I am learning to cook and the recipes in there are always proper easy to follow and always come out good.

The magazine is mainly for people who are on Weight Watchers but there is loads of advice in there for anyone who is on diet, I can't see why anyone who isn't on a diet would want to read it though because there isn't much else in there.

They feature a lot of Weight Watchers members who have got to their goal weight but I think it's a bit of a fix because most of the time they have people who have only had to lose a stone and that's stupid because I know people who have lost 5 or 6 stones and they never get into magazines.

They split the recipes up into breakfast, dinner, tea and pudding recipes and all the one's I've tried have been proper nice. The breakfast ones are always good because I reckon everyone gets bored with the same breakfast and it must be even harder when your on a diet and can't just go and nab a McMuffin on them days that you're bored of cornflakes.

My mum doesn't keep her mags so when she's read them she gives them me and I rip out all the recipes to try. I try usually 2 or 3 every month and what I like about them is that you don't have to go out and get a load of stuff from the shop because they're based round what most people have got in the cupboards like tinned tomatoes, pasta and tuna.

I quite like the motivation pages because it talks you through finding ways to beat your cravings and how to get more exercise. That's useful because I try to eat healthy so it's good to be able to know the triggers for when I eat bad stuff and I can help fix it. There are problem pages where dieters can ask a leader for advice but these aren't a lot of use to me because I'm not on Weight Watchers.

For anyone who's on a diet I reckon this is a good magazine and for a monthly one it's not too dear and only costs about £2.50 which is good I reckon for so many good recipes in each issue and a decent read when there's nothing more interesting to look at.

Summary: A Nice Mag To Read With Some Wicked Recipes

Good review - very informal without being crammed full of slang ;-)
