Advantages: Lots of data, good road tests.

Disadvantages: Bulky, too much paper, fairly pricey, a bit 'clinical'.

What Car Magazine is the biggest car mag you can buy, one of the more pricey to. I've read it on and off for years, the New and Used car data section is the biggest you can get, and is jam packed full of info.
The rest of the mag is a mix of news, Road Tests and consumer reports. I always feel the road tests are a little 'clinical' and lack the emotional descriptions of other car mags such as Autocar.
Also I feel that its a magazine that isnt good value every month, as you are always paying for the New and Used Car data section, which takes up almost half the pages. Lets face it this data doesnt differ greatly month to month.
This also adds to the bulk of paper, definately not too environmentally friendly.
Whether magazines like this will survive as more internet based reading takes off is open to discussion...
