Advantages: It's got all the goss

Disadvantages: Can be misleading

What's on TV is my favourite soap mag that's out. Currenty selling at 47p which one of the cheaper mags but with more than enough soap gossip in it. The magazine is a weekly magazine and is out every Tuesday.

The cover is always plastered with captions that makes you just want to go and buy it to find out what the storyline is all about. Sometimes it can be a bit misleading though, questioning a storyline but when you actually buy it and read inside it's nothing like what the cover had led you to believe.

Included in the magazine is Soapweek which tells you all about the soaps for the next week. The good thing about it though is even though they sometimes know the outcome of a fantastic storyline they don't give it away, sometimes it's frustrating but it's better to watch than it is to read it in a mag.

There is soap diary. This has a couple of sentences on what to expect from each soap on a certain day. Then at the bottom it also has a couple of sentences of what will be happening the following week. I like this bit the most because there's not much reading involved but you can find out a lot of the stories.

TV week - this part has 10 pages of the upcoming plots for the next week for the biggest TV shows. This includes Casualty, Hobly City and much more. In this issue it includes 3 pages of true life TV like Cutting Edge. On these pages there's also a small advertisement on whats on BT Vision that has 3 films you can watch on your vision box.

Film week - this has films on the tv for the week. It has a Film of the week that they think is definately one to watch - this week it's Phone Booth. Then on a double page it lists films that are on throughout the week. They have voted from one to five stars to tell you what they think of the film.

And at the back there is whats on tv - There is a double page of each day with channels BBC1, BBC 2, ITV1, Channel 4 and Five. It has listings for the whole day with the times so you know when to stay in.

On the last few pages of the magazine there's a crossword and horoscopes. The last page has a Have your say page. The public get to write in their views of what the have watched. There's an In the Know section where you can ask questions about anything TV related and get the answers you've been searching for. Then right at the bottom there's a bit where they ask people what they thought about a certain tv show, you get to read 3 peoples views on this.

For 47p this magazine is packed full of stuff. I will admit I only buy it to find out the goss on the soaps. But it's handy to have all the extras, especially with what films are on if you fancy a nice night in you could choose the day with a good film.

It's a good mag and I recommend it. Very easy to read and quite a colourful mag with loads of photos.

Summary: Great value for money
