Woman's Own:
... have been buying Woman s Own now every week for many years. It may just be a comfort buy as I don t really enjoy it anymore. It may be quite a cheap magazine at only about 80p but it is filled with some complete and utter rubbish. Only a few years ago it was a magazine which every woman would buy and sit down with a cup of coffee to read about a few real life tales and to catch up on the latest soap gossip. Now h... Hello! ... younger HELLOused to glisten on the newsaagents shelf like baby oil on a chippendale. Withit s glossy thick paper it held so much appeal to ten year old me. I viewed it as a glamourous grown up magazine, i thought is bound to be amazing after seeing the champagne luch lifestyles eddie and pats dah-ling indulged in on a day to day basis as glossy mag editors in Absolutely Fabulous- i didn t want the drink i think i should add just in case the thought of a ten year old have champagne goggle eyes alarmingly sprang to mind. just the fun looking life. in my young mind i concluded the mag must be full of wonderful things. fast forward 14 years i finally got hold of a copy-... Glamour ... ve been buying glamour every month for over a year now and I love it. It s reasonably priced, usually only about £2 which is far less than other magazines such as Cosmopolitan (£3.20 monthly) and even some weeklies such as Heat (£1.65 a week = £6.60 a month). Every month the magazine gives sex advice, interviews a celebrity, has a centrefold of someone famous to raise awareness of testicular cancer, loads of fashion advice which ranges from both the reasonably priced to the slightly more expensive, alongside real life advice and beauty tips. There is a lot to read for the amount of money that you pay. The magazine is about 350 pages on average (A5 sized), however thi... Read the full review: Glamourous by mary_eloise |

That's Life ... have been buying That s Life fro about a year now. I like to do the competitions ,as there are loads and the prizes are great. They range from really easy to some that are a bit harder on the brain cells, but well worth doing for the chance of winning. There are some great articles, many of them are written by readers and some of them are really gripping stuff. Some of the articles in the magazine though can be a bit hard to read sometimes though as sometimes are gruesome, although no worse than you read in newspapers. They have reviews on products, and recipes, pretty standard stuff for women s magazines really, but that s why we buy them! There are fun contests, just...
