Advantages: Lots of patterns

Disadvantages: Never enough time to stitch all the patterns.

I have subscribed to this magazine for over 12 months now, I love all things cross stitch and of the three major cross stitch magazines that are released each month this one is my favourite. The magazine comes loaded every month with charts from small to large by a number of different designers who include Lucie Heaton, Margaret Sherry, Joan Elliot and Heritage Crafts, a cross stitch themed alphabet, letters from readers and top tips from readers and staff alike.

The magazine has a tendency to feature 'cutesy' characters such as Fizzy Moon, Tatty Teddy and Disney characters as well designs for home wears such as cushions, aprons and kitchen style patterns. All charts are labled with DMC, Anchor and Mediera colour codes so you can use what ever you have in your stash rather than having to go out and purchase all the threads for each new project.

Each magazine also feature a monthly design from Lucie Heaton along with a cross word to keep you on your toes while you relax away from your stitching or you can make a start on the free kit that comes with each magazine and includes, chart, fabric, threads and everything you need to get started including a getting started guide towards the back of every issue for new stitchers.

If you like cute characters this magazine is definitely for you.

Summary: A well rounded magazine.
