I am about to re-buy this product as it has been a pleasure to have and really does a great job. I find it works amazingly for 'helping' acne / oily skin. ***What is it? BB stands for BLEMISH BALM ***Boots 17 BB Magic Cream: Ideal to brighten your skin being similar to a primer product, evens out your complexion as a foundation would, cover blemishes in comparison to a concealer, hydrate like a moistuiser whilst soothing the skin like an anit-inflammatory plus it contains UV sun protection. Definitely Magic to do all that!!! The above description is adapted from that of the Mail online and other researched sources. It is ... Read the complete review

I've been hearing about BB creams - blemish balms - for some time but until recently hadn't been tempted to try one for myself. That was until I went into my local Boots store and saw that their very reasonably priced 17 range was offering a BB cream for only £5.99 (£6.99 was the full price). In addition, a free mini makeup kit was available for spending £5.99 or more. I ended up walking out of the store with a tube of BB cream, a mini blusher, lipgloss and full-sized eyeshadow for just over a fiver! *Packaging* The Boots 17 range has updated its packaging since the last time I bought something from it. I wear foundation most days and so was very interested over all the hype of BB creams last year. After a bit of investigating online I saw that this particular one was not too pricey and had some really great reviews and so I decided to buy some to try. The letters BB mean blemish balm or beauty balm. The cream originated in Asia and is meant to be an all round product which will give a natural looking coverage whilst also covering minor imperfections, hydrating skin and improving complexion. It can be used in place of a foundation or tinted moisturiser or can be used as a primer. I love the packaging for this product because it's so simple. It ... Read the complete review

A few months back I found I was hearing about the craze of BB Creams everywhere I went - on the TV, on the radio, in magazines, in newspapers and even on the side of my morning bus! After seeing yet another advertisement in my copy of Heat I buckled, gave into the peer pressure of the pages before me and decided I would try one for myself! However as with most beauty products (especially new hyped up ones) there are as many brands to choose from as the length of a piece of string. I only wanted to dip my foot in to this new fandangled idea so I opted for a cheap version to start off with - just to see how it went. I chose Boots 17 BB Cream costing a mere 499 pennies, or . I bought this cream after getting caught up in all the hype in magazines and on blogs concerning this new phenomenon of the BB Cream. For those who are not aware, the BB cream was originally formulated for those who had recently undergone laser surgery, and needed a cream that would soothe sensitive skin whilst also evening skin tone and covering any scarring. The cream became particularly popular in Asian countries before being marketed by many of our major beauty companies. Personally, I suffer from fairly poor skin so I tend to rely on more heavier coverage foundations. However, I liked the idea that I could use a product like a BB cream on my days off ...
