Advantages: Really funky colours and inexpensive own brand... :)

Disadvantages: Doesn't last as long as other better brands... (:

I used loads of nail varnish and many different colours too...

Up until recently I only used to wear Black but now my tastes have broadened to include bright neon shades as well which look pretty funky...

One of my favourite ranges of colours is Boots No17 High Gloss nail polish as it's really shiny and seems to last ok even when I'm tapping away on the laptop a lot.

Sold in a little glass 12 ml bottle, these can often be found on offer in Boots where we shop for 3 for 2 - full cost £2.79 - so I usually do pretty well when the promotion is on ;)

The bottles are short, stubby and rounded at the top with a black lid which unscrews to reveal a black nylon painting brush which coats my nails really well. The smell is quite strong because it's a solvent but I don't find it unpleasant.

The bottles should also be recycled when empty please.

Now when I use their bright blues and greens, and there's and orange too they usually need two coats to make the coverage more even and stand out more.
You should leave at least 5-10 minutes between each coat and then you find this High Gloss dries properly.

The consistency is quite runny but I prefer that as it dries quicker, just be careful where you apply it in case it drips down on your clothes.

This No17 range looks really shiny and it doesn't fade but I would say it does chip easily at the ends if you are too rough with it. If so just touch up carefully with a bit on the brush and the varnish's finish will look as good as new :)

For me this product is nail care worth four stars as I've used better stuff but it has been more expensive. This brand fits in well with my pocket money budget as being value for money too (and my mum gets her advantage points too on her card so everyone's a winner as far as I'm concerned, lol!).

Summary: I think this is great for the money and lovely and shimmery too! :)

When I was a teenager (many moons ago) my dad used to tell me off for sitting on the settee to put this on, in case in dribbled. And it did...
