I always have my nails painted, however, recently the trend has been to do quick and easy nail art with nail varnish, such as glitter and crackle effect so I decided to try out some of these nail varnishes for myself and the one that I picked up was a 'magnetized' one.

The one I bought was in the '17' brand at Boots and cost £5.99 which although seems more expensive than their 'normal' nail varnish, compared to the likes of the Nails Inc Magnetized Nail varnish which costs £10+ is still seemed a good buy.

There were four colours to choose from there was a gold one, a purple one, a brownish/bronze one and a steel grey one. I decided to buy the steel grey one as I thought it was the most wearable one and would go with most of my items of clothing.

The nail varnish is in a normal bottle, however, there is an extra 'top' or 'lid' on it in a cylinder shape which has a magnet on the top of it. There is also a curved edge on this which you can use to rest on your finger on in order to sto you from smudging the nail varnish.

You apply the nail varnish as you would with any other nail varnish, it is really smooth in order to apply, though I do feel it is a little more 'liquid' and runny than other nail varnishes. I felt I needed to apply two coats in order to get a deep, true colour and when the second coat was still wet I hovered the magnet over the top of my nail.

It took literally seconds in order for some of the particles to be removed and for the 'design' to appear. It created a 'wave' pattern on the nail in which the colour of the grey graduated through light and darker gradients throughout the nail. When I then moved my nail I also noticed that the waved change over the nail as different parts of the light reflect the nail.

I really loved this nail varnish as it so easy to use and creates a really different look on your nails in literally no time at all. I applied a top coat over the top of my nail varnish in order to give it a shine as it did dry relatively matte and with the top coat applied the nail varnish lasted just over a week without beginning to chip or look tired.

Overall I would definitley reccomend this item as it created a really unusual look which is so simple to do!
