The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Make-Up Remover
by sarahrichmond5
I bought this for myself on a recent trip to the body shop. I always like to try new products and was needing some new makeup remover so thought I would give this a go.
The great thing about Body shop products is that they are excellent value for money and are always a really good quality and last.
The bottle ... doesn't look anything special it is a very simple looking product. The bottle comes with a screw top lid so it is very easy to open and easy to get the product out of.
I have used this a lot now and have been really pleased with the product so far. I use it by unscrewing the lid and pouring the product out onto a cotton wool ball. I only apply a small amount and it seems to go a long way.
I don't wear loads of make up but I do wear foundation, blusher, eye liner and mascara. I simply rub the cotton wool ball over my face to remove all the products. I always wash my face first to get some of it off and then afterwards use this product to remove the rest of the make up. I use waterproof mascara and it is able to remove this without any problems at all.
I have very sensitive skin and sometimes have eczema on my eye lid but this does not affect my skin at all so it is definitely a gentle product.
The product is very versatile as I have also used it to remove face paints from my kids which again it does without any problems and is gentle enough not to cause any irritation to their young skin.
The smell of the makeup remover is lovely it always leaves me feeling fresh and clean when ever I have used it which is great!
I would recommend this product to anyone who wears makeup and needs a great product that they can rely on. Read the complete review |

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter
by bringingsexyback
WHAT IS IT?
A lip butter from The Body Shop that is flavoured of pink grapefruit.
THE PACKAGING
This lip butter comes in the same sort of tub as the body butter from The Body Shop. It has got a twist off lid that has got a picture of a pink grapefruit on it and the colour of the tub is a very pretty ... peach that I like very much.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
You dip your finger or a cotton bud into the lip butter and apply it to your lips. You do not need to use very much every time you apply it because the butter melts into the skin of your lips, it does not spread easy to start with but when it has warmed up a little bit from the heat of your lips the butter will apply a lot better.
WHAT I THINK
I like this lip butter and think it is very effective at moisturising my lips. The taste is not as refreshing as you think it will be because even though I can smell and taste the pink grapefruit there is a buttery and creamy flavour also that I do not think matches with the citrus very good.
I do not use it every day because it is very thick and heavy but when my lips were very dry and chapped recently this was the one that solved the problem because it is very intense. I think that this very tiny tub will last me for a very long time because I have had it for many weeks now and it doesn't look like it has been used at all.
I like how soft it feels and the way it makes my lips feels moisturised as soon as I apply it, the moisture lasts for a long time because of how buttery the lip balm is but sometimes I think it is a little bit greasy and then I do not like to use it very much.
ANYTHING ELSE
This lip butter costs £4 and you can buy it only from The Body Shop or online.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
by misslopi
I love Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation and all the Dream Mousse products but I need to be really careful with wearing them as they are only suitable for certain occasions.
The foundation comes in a good range of shades so I can match it to my skin no matter how dark or light it might be at the time. It comes in a ... glass jar and costs £7.69.
The formulation of this mousse is so lovely and it feels incredible on my skin. It is so lightweight that at times I forget I am even wearing make-up. It also goes on really nice and it blends so well into my skin and it leaves my skin feeling silky to the touch.
Because the formulation is so lightweight it doesn't give a heavy coverage but it does even out my skin tone and leave it looking more even and covers up most of the imperfections in my skin. The beauty of the lightweight coverage is that it looks really natural and not as though I have caked myself in foundation. When I am wearing it only the odd spot and my under eyes still need some concealer. I knew when buying it that it wasn't going to give a heavy coverage and that is what I wanted as I wanted something a bit more natural in appearance.
So I love the coverage of this foundation and how it feels so nice on my skin but I have a major problem with the formulation of it.
I thought this would be perfect for summer when I don't want to wear any heavy make-up on my skin but I find the length it lasts to be terrible in certain situations.
I can wear this in winter with no problems and it lasts all day but the slightest hint of heat and it practically melts off my face within a couple of hours. I have tried wearing this on a night out and when I got home most of it was gone and I was left with patches where it had come away especially around my cheeks and nose and in the warm weather when it is sunny it melts from my skin just by sitting in the sun. I don't have particularly greasy skin just a bit in my T-zone so there is no excuse for how poorly this lasts.
I love the feel of this and wish it lasted longer than it does on my skin as I would wear it all the time but because of how long it lasts I can only really wear it at certain times which is no good to me and the reason that I don't wear it more often. Read the complete review |
