2True Cheek N Lip Tint
Advantages: pretty pink cheeks
Disadvantages: bright on lips, wipes off lips easily, drying.
Strolling along the Superdrug aisles I had a glance at their 2true range which is widely known for their '2 for £5' deal which seems to be pretty popular at the minute, and I'm not suprised. With the likes of ordinary drugstore brands such as Maybelline and Loreal being shockingly priced recently! (Who do they think they are?)
I spotted what seemed to be a poor gals Benetint/Posietint dupe and curiousity got the better off me. If it was horrible you can't really grumble for £1.95.
I opted for the Posietint rip off which is a blush pink tinted stain for cheeks and lips.
It comes in a 10ml nail varnish styled bottle. The packaging is quite cute for the price, definitely not as sophisticated as Estee Lauder but just a basic pretty pink as shown in the photo.
The brush is like a nail varnish brush. It's pretty good, it gives you a really controlled amount.
The colours really intense, a bright neon pink which is a little bit daunting but when you blend it on your skin it is a bit more subtle.
To use it you put 2 very small crosses on the apples of your cheeks then blend. it's important you don't use too much or it could turn into a disaster and end up making you look like a clown. If you're quite pale like me then you'd want to use the littlest amount possible.
I tested it on my lips but I find the colour too vibrant and the consistensy too liquidy, it wipes off really easily and is really drying to the lips. I've tried Posietint which leaves a really nice pink on your lips for hours! So I wouldn't really call this product a 'lip stain'
I really liked using this as a cheek stain though, as it left a really nice subtle pink glow on my skin and stayed put all day. If I use a powder I'd be lucky if it lasted longer than my mid-morning coffee. I prefer using this as it gives off a more natural effect.
It doesn't dry in too quick so it gives plenty of blending time. I find with a lot of more expensive products that you're given little time to blend.
My opinion is that this is a very cheap and cheerful product. It's not perfect but perfectly adequate and makes a nice inexpensive addition to your make-up bag. If you're looking for a good lip stain then this isn't really for you, and would advise posietint as it's pretty much worth the money.
This is more of a cheek stain for me and I like the fact it doesn't completely stain as I'd like to take it off at night. Can't be the finest quality ingredients for £2.
Summary: rosy glow!
