      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Love the colour and the quality

      This is a review of 2True Glossywear Nail Polish which I bought recently, having avoided the madness of the town centre in the run up to Christmas being pregnant and due in November I felt that I hadn't been shopping for fripperies in a long time and wanted something from the 2true range. They have a permanent offer on 3 for £4.99 so I treated myself to a nail polish I didn't need to make up the three items.

      My polish
      There were lots to choose from and I limited myself to one to try this brand for the first time. The one I have is No53 in the Glossywear range which looks like a brown and burgundy finish through the bottle and is quite dark and vampy. The label promises up to five days wear with this colour.

      In use
      To be honest I wasn't expecting a lot from this polish due to the price so I armed myself with the remover and a wipe as I thought it might be messy being a darker shade. I prepped the nail with a base coat to avoid staining and applied one coat very easily. The consistency was great and some nails only needed one swipe for full coverage. After one coat I was happy with the coverage but the bottle said to apply two coats so I did to aid longevity. At this stage I was amazed at the shiny wet look finish. I couldn't believe the quality for the price and it looked really vampy and had picked up a dark purple tone. I finished off with my Nails Inc caviar top coat which is also a glossy finish and helps against wear and tear and chips.

      Removal
      After three days I noticed a bit of wear around the top edges of my nails. I could have continued to wear the colour as it wasn't that bad but I was ready for a change so removed the colour which came off easily with a cheap polish remover.

      My thoughts
      This is definitely comparable in colour to Nails Inc Victoria, a favourite of mine in the winter. It is a little thicker and has a metallic tint to it but I do like this. My nails felt stronger in this too which is always a bonus. I have read other reviews on this brand and it may be due to being a darker colour but one coat really was enough so this bottle will last absolutely ages.

      Price
      As mentioned earlier, the products are three for a fiver but you can buy individually for £1.99. I think this is a real bargain for the quality I witnessed with colour no 53.

      Final word
      For me to be comparing favourably this with a Nails Inc colour is a true testament to this nail varnish. I am already planning my next trip in to town to buy a few more despite having three new Nails Inc sets to open from Christmas! I do love nail polish though it's a case of finding the time to apply safely and allow drying time with a newborn and two year old.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A slow drying but purse friendly polish in a wide choice of colours

        Having been impressed by a face powder made by the budget make up brand 2true, I decided to try out some of their other products. I can't resist trying new nail polishes so I decided to make one of those my next purchase. I already had the clear version, but I wanted to try one of their glittery shades. I opted for no.49 whch is a frosted aqua with a sparkly finish.

        THE RANGE

        There are a few different nail polish ranges made by 2true - the polishes I am reviewing come from the Glossy Wear collection. According to the brand's website, either 32 or 40 shades are available in total, dependng on which part of it you believe. I have never seen anything like that many to choose from in Superdrug, who are I believe the only stockists. If I was looking for a pale, natural coloured polish, 2true wouldn't be the brand I first thought of buying from. I assosciate them with brighter shades - there are plenty of neon, metallic, pearl and irridescent shades to chose from. Others have a lightly glittery finish on close inspection, such as the shade 49 that I have been wearing. Whatever the finish, the polishes cost just £1.99 each, and they are included in a mix and match "any 3 for £4.99" offer on 2true cosmetics. That promotion has been running for as long as I can remember!

        APPLICATION

        The bottles are 9 ml in size so they are not the biggest available. The bottle design is short and squat, which means a short and stubby brush. That is my least favourite type as I don't think they are comfortable to hold, especially when you are trying to keep a steady hand. I can put up with it, given the low price though. The brush head doesn't fan out very well, so it isn't easy to do your nail in just a couple of strokes. Having said that, it is also good at giving a neat finish near the nail edge as the bristles don't threaten to touch your surrounding skin.

        I think that while it is a good idea to shake all polishes before you use them, the 2true ones benefit from that more than most. It doesn't matter too much with the clear one that I have, but the aqua one is apt to look watery without a very good shake. The Glossy Wear polish is meant to be applied in 2 coats, but even so I thought the first layer of aqua was very pale looking and that I would probably need more like 3 coats to achieve an opaque finish. An extra vigourous bottle shake later, it had developed a much better and thicker consistency, and I was able to actually get away with a single coat. This is useful as each coat takes a relatively long time to dry. I think the nails still feel slightly "tacky" after 15 minutes or more, so this isn't a polish to apply at the last minute. Once done, the colour is even and strong, and it looks like it did in the bottle.

        THE FINISHED RESULT

        The clear polish dries to a smooth and glossy finish, and I can't fault it. My nails look neatly finished and the shine doesn't fade before the polish. The frosted aqua polish doesn't really have such a glossy finish to me. It isn't matte, but it is much duller in comparision to the clear one, which isn't what I was expecting given the name of the range. I like the colour, and the fact the gltter is only visible close up makes it a bit more subtle and versatile than a full on glitter polish, although I love those too. It means I would also wear it in the summer when I think it will look good on my toes. Both polishes last about 4 days without chipping, if I haven't used a top coat, which is an average time for a varnish to last for me. The chips when they come are the typical small ones at the edges, rather than big flakes, so I can sometimes repair a nail neatly rather than having to start all over again.

        Some polishes with glitter particles are hard to get off in my experience, but thankfully I have had no trouble with the 2true ones. The clear comes off very quickly too, using a basic liquid remover. Neither leaves any kind of staining behind, which is something of a relief given the strength of the aqua colouring!

        WOULD I RECOMMEND THE POLISH?

        I think that should you want to try a different kind of finish, such as metallic, for the first time, you would find plenty of choice amongst 2trues offerings. So you could experiment at a low cost. I think several colours that they offer are quite unique, and for that reason I would buy from the range again. I think that they don't have the best consistency at first, but as shaking the bottle more than normal corrects a lot of that, I am not going to complain too much. I would prefer a brush that fans out more, but considering the price, and the fact my other niggles are small ones, I would recommend it. The only exception would be if you were looking for a quick dry polish, as in my experience, it definitely isn't that.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          5/5

          I'm a massive fan of the 2True range of cosmetics and I usually treat my self to a couple of their nail varnishes now & again as they're really cheap and great quality.

          I've got quite a few of the different colours and there are thirty one in total to choose from including pastels, glitters and metallic and neon shades. Each 9ml nail varnish retails at just £1.99 which I think is a real bargain compared to the likes of Models Own and OPI. I always buy mine from Superdrug and as far as I am aware this is the only place that sells this brand of nail varish.

          The nail varnish comes in a short and stubby glass bottle which is rounded. It's quite cute and compact and the black lid has a silver band around it. The packaging isn't the best, but it isn't cheap and tacky either. I like that the bottle is transparent as the colour can be seen through it - considering the amount of nail varnishes that I have this comes in very handy when I am looking for a particular shade.

          The branding is okay and the bottle simply has the brand and product name written in silver writing on the front as well as the shade number. I have various different shades but my favourite/the one that I wear most often s shade 47 which is a glossy baby pink. The applicator brush is a good size and the brushes are compacted making application quick, precise and mess free.

          The manufacturers recommend two coats on each nail but I apply around four for a very solid colour as I find that two coats is a little sheer. I always apply a top coat as this prevents it from easily chipping and helps it to last longer. All of the shades that I have are block colours rather than glitters/metallics and the finish is high glossy without looking tacky or over the top.

          The consistency of the varnish is a little runny but not to the point of literally running down my nails and onto my fingers. I do find that the brush needs wiping on the side of the lid to get off any excess before applying it though else it can get a bit messy. It doesn't blob up or anything though and it spreads over my nails well with each stroke of the brush. It ahs the usual chemical nail varnish kind of smell which doen't take long to fade.

          It dries very quickly - it takes no more than a minute and it is long lasting as well. All of the colours are very eye catching and pretty and the finish that the varnish gives is as equally good as my more expensive varnishes. The lasting power is excellent considering that this is so cheap and after a week it has a few minor chips so I usually remove it after five days or so before it starts to look tacky and by this point I am ready to change the colour of my nails anyway.

          Overall I highly recommend this nail varnish as it is cheap, good quality and long lasting. Five out of five stars.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A good nail varnish for those with patience

          I recently bought Shade No. 49 from the 2True Glossywear nail varnish range from Superdrug. It is a really nice light blue colour, flecked with plenty of glitter. However, the gorgeous colour is about the only thing going for it in my opinion- I think that if anyone is going to try it, at least with this shade- I haven't tried any other shades- then you need to leave a LOT of time to spare.

          The nail varnish has a big chunky lid which is quite difficult to control when painting my nails, compared to other nail varnish bottles which often have thinner lids. The brush is quite long, which is a good thing because it means that it makes it easier to paint longer nails.

          Application-wise, the product is fairly thick, meaning that it doesn't drip too much, and it goes on quite easily. However, the recommended two coats is nowhere near enough. Two coats leaves you with a streaky finish, three to four coats means that the varnish is not streaky but semi transparent. I've found that if I want a proper block of colour, the way the product looks in the bottle, I need up to six coats of varnish.

          Even with two coats of the product, it can take ages to dry. I painted my nails in the morning, then went to work at 3pm, and my nails were still smudging as they would had I painted them 20 minutes beforehand. I had used three to four coats that time, but surely a nail varnish should have dried five hours after application?

          Overall, a great colour, but one that you have to be prepared to wait for

          Updated 13/12/12

          I decided to try another shade in the range, just to see if it was just a dud that I'd picked up the first time. I chose shade 52, a dark, shimmery blue. With this shade, I had the same problem with the coats- I found that I needed three to four coats for a decent coverage, which is slightly better than shade 49, which needed up to six coats, as I have said above. It also dried a lot quicker than shade 49, and I didn't have the same problem as with the previous shade with smudging. This shade dried within an hour with four coats, and didn't smudge after this time. It didn't chip until three days after application, which does fit in with the bottle's claim of "Up to 5 days wear"

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          a great nail varnish

          I love doing my nails and love trying new nail varnishes and colours. I came across the 2true Glossy Nail Polish in Superdrug when I was shopping for makeup and decided to pick it up because there were a few nice colours available and also they were really cheap and affordable.

          There is a fantastic range of colours available on this range of nail varnishes including:
          Clear
          Lavender
          Aubergine
          Midnight Blue
          Violet
          Orchid Pink
          Clear Sparkle
          Tafida Red
          Silver

          I really like these nail varnishes and love the way the colours come out on my nails, so far I have bought the Violet, Midnight Blue, Orchid Pink and Aubergine colours and they have all came out really nice and were easy to paint on.

          This nail varnish is really easy to apply, the applicator brush that comes with them is nicely shaped to allow the nail paint to glide onto my nails easily and evenly. The nail paint is a nice texture and isn't too thick or runny, meaning that it is much easier to paint my nails with it and also that the colour came out really great on my nails. There is a bit of a glossy tone to these nail varnishes which is quite eye catching and pretty. It takes about 5 minutes for this nail varnish to dry, which is a little long in my opinion, but it isn't that big of an issue really.

          I found that when I had applied this nail varnish that it stayed on for quite a long time without chipping off and wearing away. I think mine lasted about 5-6 days which is quite a long time in my opinion. This makes this nail varnish one of my favourites for just wearing through the week as it lasts well against very day wear and tear.

          I have found that it is best to do 2 layers of this nail varnish on my nails, this makes the colour look really deep and also makes it much less likely for the nail varnish to chip off.

          You can buy this nail varnish in Superdrug for £1.99 which I think is a fantastic price for the quality and colour's available in this brand. Usually cheaper nail varnishes don't last as long or look as good as the more expensive brands but this one is extremely good value and brilliant quality.

          Overall I would definitely recommend this nail varnish, it is cheap, the colours are really nice and it does not chip easily. Overall I would give this nail varnish 5 out of 5 stars and I will definitely be picking up more new colours the next time I am in Superdrug.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A lovely bit of sparkle!

          ~~~~~~~~~~
          Cheap cheap!
          ~~~~~~~~~~
          I am not that familiar with 2True products, but I do know they are sold exclusively in Superdrug - and that they are very cheap! Usually priced at £1.99 for each item, or £5 for any three items, I got myself even more of a bargain by buying three items in the recent Superdrug 3-for-2 cosmetics offer. So I picked up three items for a rather cheap and cheerful £3.98 - less than £1.33 per product!

          One of the items I bought was a 2True nail varnish. It is slightly different to the one pictured here as it is a limited edition item and is a special sparkly version of the usual 2True nail varnish. Although I couldn't see it on the Superdrug website, I have seen it in several branches of the store so it's widely available, and I am sure it will be around for a little while at least - but I do wonder if they will faze it out now the party season is ending....

          ~~~~~~~~~~
          Glittery sparkle
          ~~~~~~~~~~
          I remember seeing three shades in this limited edition range of sparkly varnishes - a mid purple, and bright greeny-blue and the one I bought which is a bright red. All three of the varnishes are very sparkly looking in the bottle. They are all very eye-catching shades and look lovely in the bottle, and I did deliberate about which to buy! I have found with glittery polishes in the past that they can fail to deliver on the sparkly front - looking much stronger in the bottle than on the nails - so I opted for the red version, as I figured I would be most likely to wear this with or without the sparkle!

          This is quite a small bottle of polish - a little smaller than your average one I think but fair enough at the cheap price. The red is a very bright red and you can see lots of bright glitter running through the varnish.

          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          Better than expected
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          I found this easy enough to apply - it was the right consistency to get a nice even coat and I was pleased with how pigmented the colour seemed to be. Although it did take a little longer to dry than I would have liked, I was pleased with how it looked. The red is very striking and although the glitter isn't too blatant, you can certainly see a slight sparkle on the nails. In fact up close you can see that the varnish is shot through with tiny particles of glitter, that look light pink at a close glance.

          Although one coat of colour looked good, I decided to apply a second and I was pleased I did. The colour looks really bright and intense, and is certainly eye-catching, and the glitter gives the varnish a lovely sheen, meaning it has a slightly metallic finish to it. I also like that it isn't too glossy - the metallic finish looks just right.

          ~~~~~~~~~~
          Staying power
          ~~~~~~~~~~
          For a cheap varnish, I would have expected this to start chipping after a day or two. But with no undercoat or topcoat, this varnish lasted a good four days before I saw any chips appear - and in fact I kept it on for a full week before it really started to look bad. I was surprised by how well this lasted, especially when you consider the low, low price!

          Overall I am really pleased with this polish and at the price have no complaints at all! And I may well now go and pick up the other colours. I think it's a great shade for parties as it is quite striking, but to be honest I am quite happy to wear it every day!

          As it's a limited edition I would suggest, if you like the sound of it, that you pick one up while you still can!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          For the price I can't really complain!

          I'm always on the hunt for good quality cheap nail varnishes that come in a good range of colours and 2True by Superdrug matches this almost perfectly. I've always been drawn to the lovely range of colours of nail varnish by them and for £1.99 or usually 3 for £5 you can't really go wrong for the price. They have also brought out 2True Crystal Nail Polishes which are a glittery shimmer finish but this is to be reviewed at another time. Today this will be about the Glossywear Nail Polishes.

          The packaging itself is simple with the polishes coming in short round glass bottles with black lids and all the relevant information on the bottle. As the bottles are shorter the brushes attached to the lid are quite a bit shorter but I actually find this easier as I find that with bigger bottles the stem of the handle is too long and I usually end up with more nail varnish around my fingers rather than on the nail. My mum also has tiny hands and finds these really easy to apply as they are easier to get a more sturdy grip on them.

          I have quite a few shades from this range and I seem to get drawn to the purple shades as I have now realised I have 3 of the same shade (No13). I also own some of the pink and red shades in No24 and No17. I do find that the lighter red and pink colours are alot thinner than the darker colours and I usually go for three coats of the lighter polishes and two coats of the darker ones. The nail polish itself is quite thin and the first time I applied the first coat I thought it was going to take me a lifetime to get a nice opaque shade. After the three coats I find that my nail is completely covered and has a lovely smooth finish. They do take slightly longer to dry than most but I always try and paint my nails in the evenings when I don't have anything else to do, so if your in a rush I wouldn't suggest these as a quick fix.

          I have found that the lighter shades aren't as glossy as they look in the bottle as they are on the nail which is slightly disappointing but they have a nice finish all the same. The purple colour I have has a very glossy with a slight shimmer finish to it which is identical to the bottle so the colour pay off is really very good.

          Wear and tear wise I find that again the lighter colours seem to be more problematic than the darker colours with them only lasting two days at the most and the darker colours lasting around 3/4. I always try and use a base coat to pro-long the life of them. I find that unlike some of the nail varnishes I own these do just chip off rather than fade. To be honest I rarely have the same colour on my nails for more than a week so this doesn't matter to me a great deal.

          For the £1.99 price tag I think these come in a great range of colours and although they may require a few more coats and last a little less than the more expensive ones I think I can make a compromise purely for the gorgeous range of colours that they come in.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          I wont use this again

          Now its summer ( I say summer in the loosest sense!!) I love to have my toenails painted all the time. Feet are generally not the most attractive part of the body and I always think painted toenails make them look so much nicer. I have been trying some of Superdrugs 2True range lately and decided to give their nail polish a try. At just £1.99 I wasn't expecting the best quality but going by the other things in this range that I had tried I was pretty confident it wouldn't be too bad.

          The colour I bought was called Shade 8 and is a nice mid pink. The bottle is quite stumpy and round and had a black lid with a silver band around it. It has the 2true logo on the front along with the words glossy wear nail polish and the shade, apart from the ingredients on the back that's it for the bottle.
          The brush is attached to the inside of the lid, as you would expect, and because of the stumpy bottle design is quite short.

          I used this polish for the first time on my toes. I applied the first coat and immediately noticed that any pearl effect I saw when the polish was in the bottle disappears as soon as the varnish hits the nail. The second thing was that this polish is so thin and watery it goes on terribly streaky. I continued to paint all my toenails and felt sure that a second coat would sort this out. After all on the Superdrug website it states " Simply apply two coats of your favourite nail colour for maximum effect and prolonged wear".

          With this in mind I applied the 2nd coat. This made barely any difference, the varnish still looked very streaky and watery. I applied a third coat and although still quite blotchy my nails did look slightly better.

          To be honest I just didn't have the time or inclination to do a forth coat so I left them. If it had been my finger nails I couldn't have got away with it but as it was my feet and no one was going to be looking too closely I left them but I was very disappointed with the nail varnish. It looked blotchy and streaky.
          Its described as glosswear and actually it has a very high shine finish so this part is true, however stating 2 coats will give maximum effect is a load of rubbish!

          I wore the varnish for 24 hours and it was already starting to chip, maybe this is what Superdrug calls "prolonged wear!" So now the varnish looked chipped as well as blotchy. I definitely wont be buying this again which is a shame because they actually do some really nice colours in the range. OK I accept that it was cheaper than other brands and I wasn't expecting the best quality but going on other products in this range I was expecting something a bit better.

          I wouldn't recommend this one at all.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A worthwhile buy

            We all have heard of Natural collection's £1.99 products but have you heard of 2True for its £1.99 products (3 for £4.99). Unlike Boots Natural Collection, 2 True consists of less 'natural' and neutral products and more daring colours.

            For £1.99 2True offers you 9ml of Glossywear Nail Polish in a cylinder packaging.

            The colour I own is No.21, a bright pink, which lives up to the claims and dries to a high gloss finish and dries quicky too may I hastently add.

            2True recommend for you to use 2 coats and for this colour it is minimum requirement, 1 coat is far too translucent for me. The consistency of this polish is quite thin, meaning the polish itself won't go gloopy. Some may find this harder to use but I personally think his is an advantage. The brush is on a short handle but is long enough to cover the whole nail which is convenient to use and makes for an easy application.

            Once your nails have been painted the glossiness will last and the polish will last on its own (without a topcoat) for 3 days.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A very good product for the amount of money your paying for it.

            These nail polishes by 2True are definitely some of the cheapest nail polishes out there, but some people assume that they are a bad nail varnish because of this. I completely disagree that they are not a good product just because they are cheap, and I really love them.
            They are cheap enough to buy a wide variety of colours in the range and they do come in really good colours, and if applied twice on each nail, you will get a really nice block colour.
            The nail varnish once applied stays on for a really long time without chipping or rubbing off, which is quite unusual for most of the cheaper range of nail polishes. Once applied on my nails, this varnish usually lasts for around a week before I need to reapply it.
            The only bad thing I can think of about this product is that the actual product doesn't last very long if used regularly, mine only lasted a couple of months, but because they're not too expensive, restocking isn't too much of a problem.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            Budget nail varnish

            I'm not really a girly-girl and don't tend to wear make-up very often, but I am very proud of my nails. For the first thirty-five years of my life my nails were ragged from my constant nail biting, but since quitting that particular nasty habit four years ago, they've been all sorts of different lengths and almost any colour that you could think of. I have a huge collection of different colour nail varnishes and because I get bored with a colour quite quickly, I tend to buy my varnishes as cheaply as possible. This is where the 2 True Glossy Wear nail varnish comes into it's own at the ridiculously low price of £1.99 a bottle.

            From what I can tell the 2 True make-up range is exclusive to Superdrug, I've certainly never seen it anywhere else. This is also a budget range that is probably not really intended for my age group, but as I don't often wear make-up, I don't really see the point in paying more when I can get reasonable results with this, even if it does take a little effort. Within the Glossy Wear nail varnish range there is a large number of different shades, many of which are funky and unusual. I personally own about ten different shades, including a very funky tangerine orange, line green, slightly sparkly midnight blue and of course a clear top coat.

            Each stumpy bottle contains 9ml of thin varnish that smells just as bad as any other nail varnish I've used. I do actually like the design of the bottle, I find them far easier to open than tapered bottles, even one-handed. As with all nail varnishes, the brush is housed in the lid, but I must admit that this brush is not only very thin, but it is also quite short, which does make applying the varnish a little awkward.

            Although the bottle suggests applying two coats of this varnish, I always find that I get the best results from applying three thin coats followed by a top coat. While the first coat dries very quickly (under two minutes), I do find that results from this single coat is wishy-washy and streaky. A second coat, takes considerably longer to dry and still leaves a few almost unnoticeable streaks, but adding a third coat gives me a solid, vivid colour with a lovely sheen (although not as high gloss as the name would suggest). This third coat does take a good ten minutes to dry though and during this time it will mark and dent, so I tend to do one hand at a time, so that I can still go to the loo without worrying about ruining my hard work.

            If worn without top coat the claims of up to five days wear are a little on the over optimistic side. I'm a typical stay at home Mum, who does normal housework and child care, and without top coat, I'm lucky if the colour hasn't chipped within two days. Oh and rather then just chipping, I do find that this polish tends to peel off, which makes it far harder to do touch ups. When used in combination with the top coat, the five day claim is far more realistic. I do find that the colour at the tips of my nails starts to fade by the end of day three, but my nails still look good for the whole five days as long as I've not done anything to scratch the surface.

            When it comes to removing the varnish, I've never had a problem whether using cheap liquid remover or pads. Unlike some brands of cheap varnish, this dissolves easily and comes off with a few wipes. But, be warned some of the colours do stain the nails, especially the lime green. Now for me that's not a problem, I always re-paint my nails, but if you need to have your nails 'naked' for work or school, then I'd really suggest a base coat, as my 'natural' nails are currently a rather un-fetching shade of yellow.

            I've owned some of my bottles of 2 True Glossy Wear nail varnish for over a year now, and the polish within them is still as thin and easy to apply as the day I bought them. Even with regular use, each bottle also seems to last a long time, many of my bottles look hardly touched, as although I do apply three coats, each coat is very thin.

            All in all this is one of my favourite ranges of nail varnish, I love the range of colours as there's always something to match my mood and outfit. I also love the price, under £2 a bottle is certainly not to be sniffed at. Ok, maybe it's not the easiest nail varnish to apply, the quickest to dry or the most hard wearing, but with a little effort I can get some really nice results and it's easy to remove. I'm therefore giving 2 True Glossy Wear nail varnish a healthy four stars out of five and recommending it to those who are looking for some slightly unusual colours, are willing to put a bit of effort in and most importantly are on a budget.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            Best silver polish I tried

            I bought the silver Glossywear (shade 9) and was incredibly impressed by it!!!!!

            Fantastic colour, streak free and a long lasting, true silvery appearance. Put one coat over a colour to add sparkle or wear the two recommended coats for the look of liquid silver. This is not the look of silver or chrome foil-just a very good, shiny, realistic silver for a polish.

            I have been looking for a true silver polish for WEEKS and this is the best i've found. Definitely not grey looking at all, as most of the premium (and expensive!) brands seem to be!

            The price point is great for those, who, like me, are on a budget. At the same time I really doubt whether another brand could match it for ease of application and the flawless end result-you don't have to be an expert to apply this polish because the consistency is so forgiving, resulting in a lovely uniform, silver finish.

            Thanks, 2True!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A good value for money nail polish

            Whilst watching a tv advert I mentioned to one of my friends that I used to have a light purple nail polish the same colour as the add when I was younger. I told her I loved that colour but had never found one since. Then on my birthday this year much to my joy she had found a nail polish in the exact colour I wanted and the brand was 2true.

            I had not seen 2true before but have since done my research and found that 2true is a brand which is only available at superdrug. The nail polish costs £1.95 each or 3 for £5 which is a good price I feel. For your £1.95 you get 9ml of this polish. Mine is Shade No 11 Lavender. There are 36 colours to chose from which include metallic and neon colours as well as natural and dark ones so there is something for every occasion.

            When applying I followed the guidelines and applied a base coat with my clear nail polish first. This always makes for easy polish removal as well. With this you are advised to then apply two more coats I did this easily. The lid is quite bulky but is still easy to apply. The brush is thin so I applied one stoke up the middle of my nails and then one either side of the middle coat.

            Once the second coat is applied it took about 1 minute to dry and I actually managed to sit still long enough to let my nail polish dry without smudging which for me is a success in itself.

            Once dry my nails look a lovely light purple colour and are really shiny. The bottle of the polish says that it lastup to 5 days I like the way it says 'up to' not 'gives you' it does not make outrageous claims like other polishes do that it WILL last. Anyway it did last nearly 5 days 3 anyway which is great for me my nail polish is usually chipping within 1 day let alone 3. As for removing the polish it came off really well with my regular polish and toilet tissue combo leaving no traces behind.

            I really recommend these nail polish and I shall be going and getting myself some more after all there 35 more to own and I do love good nail polish! 5 stars from me.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              If you have the patience, it is so worth it.

              Honest to goodness, 2True is my favourite nail varnish, I tell no lie.

              Only available in Superdrug stores, this brand started quietly, but now is a total cult favourite. Sneaky Fact - They are often the varnish of choice at various fashion shows, due to the colour range, and their staying power.

              They cost a meagre £1.95 or any 3 items for £5 (believe me, with amazing sets of false lashes available too, you'll find 3 things...) The range is large, at last count there were around 40 shades for you to choose from.

              My choice would always be the vivid pearlescent Navy blue, (very nautical...) and VERY fashionable, on either fingers or toes...

              My main piece of advice for anyone choosing 2True nail varnish is you must apply 3 coats. This may sound excessive, but perhaps due to the low price, they tend to be very thin, and one or two coats just doesn't cut it. Three coats is optimum, and leaves you with a beautiful professional finish.

              The upside of putting all that effort in when applying, is that your finished manicure will last around 10 days before you need to take it off. By that I mean small chips, you could probably get it to last a few days longer if you don't mind larger chips.

              Also, for darker shades I would definately advise a basecoat, as they contain a lot of pigment, and you will need to avoid staining.

              Overall - you must try them for yourselves, to really see why so many rave about them.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Give them a try

              I came across this nail polish in Superdrug recently, whilst looking for something a bit different. I love to wear bright colours often, and these looked perfect for the job, at a great price.

              ~~ Price ~~
              The nail polishes are exclusive to Superdrug, and they are priced at £1.95 each, or three products for £5 - which is an absolute bargain! These prices included anything in the '2true' range, so you could of mixed and matched these with mascaras, eye shadows, foundations, lip glosses, eye liners... just about every item of make up you could need. These really are pocket money prices!

              ~~ The packaging ~~
              The nail polish is in a clear glass bottle, which is round in shape. It has a large black screw off lid, which is nice and chunky which makes it easier to grab hold of with wet nails! Through the glass bottle, you can see the shade of paint inside, and these look really good, as they are really bright lovely colours. You get 9mls of nail polish inside the bottle..

              ~~ The product ~~
              I went for the shade no 13, which is a really rich and vibrant purple colour. The shade is quite a dark purple, and it was exactly what I was looking for. They had lots of other colours, from bright neons, to metalics, to your normal pale pinks etc.
              The brush for this nail polish is quite short, which I think makes it easier to apply to the nails. The colour looks really dark in the bottle, but as you apply it to the nails with the brush it looks very streaky, and thin, and you can see your normal nails underneath. They do advise to do a second coat, which I always do, and the colour looks much better and has a much better coverage.

              It takes ages to dry, and if you don't leave it to dry 100% the nail polish is still very jelly like, so if you try to do anything, you will smuge the colour. I'd say it takes 10 - 15 mins to dry properly!
              Also make sure the first layer is 100% dry before applying the 2nd layer, as it really does mess it up if it isn't dry enough.

              On the bottle, '2true' claim that the colour last for 5 days, which I think is about right if you keep it well enough. But to be honest, after about 3 or 4 days there was slight dents in the colour, from things hitting it, so I always take it off after about 3 days usually.

              ~~ My verdict ~~
              '2true' Nail polishes are so cheap, and at three for a fiver, I don't think I can complain that much. They are great if you want something a bit different, to just paint your nails a new colour for a few days, but they are a pain to keep looking good, and they take ages to dry.
              The best bit is they have loads of colours available, so there is bound to be a colour for everyone...
