I have a large stock pile of nail polishes and am always on the look out for new ones to try. I purchased the Rimmel 60 second nail polish in 320 Rapid Ruby for £2, in my local independent beauty store, I believe the bottles retail for £3.69 on the Boots website, so this was a bargain. The range has a total of 24 colours ranging from light pinks to very dark blues, with some soft greys, so there is a shade for everyone and all occasions.

The bottle is the standard nail polish bottle, glass so you can see the colour of the polish with a plastic lid, which the application brush is secured to. Its easy to open and has not leaked, despite me chucking it in my nail polish bag.

Rimmel claim that the nail polish takes 1 second to apply, dries in 60 seconds and gives a perfect nail. This is partly true, the brush is fairly wide, though I find I need two brush strokes to get full coverage on my thumb nails, and it's a little bit too wide for my little finger nail, so I have to be careful when applying. It does dry in 60 seconds, though it is not bash proof, I would suggest giving it a while before putting on shoes or putting your hands in your pocket, as it will smudge a little.

The colour is great, a lovely deep red, I use two coats to give a deep colour on my toes, but find I only need one coat on my finger nails during the day. The polish itself is quite thick when applying. The polish tends to last for around 2-3 days before I notice any chips, so that's not bad overall for the price. It is easy to remove with nail polish remover and does not leave my nails stained, though I do use a base coat to protect them.

I would recommend this nail polish to others, it fairly easy to apply, has a great range of colours and last fairly well overall.
