Witch Naturally Clear Concealer
by stickyangel After my boyfriend recently started stealing my concealer to cover his spots I went out and bought him his own and chose this Witch one as it's supposed to help get rid of spots too. After a while and a couple of times of me borrowing it I ended up going out and buying one for myself too. I paid £2.99 each for them in Morrisons but I'm ... sure I've seen them cheaper elsewhere before. The packaging is nice and doesn't scream 'spot treatment' which I think is good. It's a silver twist up stick with a pull off lid. The packaging as well as looking really nice also makes it dead easy to use, and it's great for carrying around with you too. I'm not sure if there are other shades available but when I bought mine there was only one shade, called 'natural' and it looks way too dark in the tube for my pale skin. don't let that scare you though, as once I have it on my skin it looks much lighter. It has a creamy texture which makes it easy to blend and feels nice on my skin, and the colour blends pretty well (though not perfectly) with my skintone. I find it works pretty well as a concealer on spots, giving a good coverage and reducing redness. It's not a concealer to be used elsewhere though, for instance it would be no good as an under-eye concealer. It wears well and lasts on my skin for at least 8 hours, assuming it's not particularly hot or I'm particularly active, in that case it does sweat off quite easily. The main reason why I continue to use this concealer instead of others I own is because I really feel it does help to get rid of spots as well as just conceal them. Often I feel other concealers and other makeup makes spots worse but this definitely doesn't, and I feel like my spots go down much quicker when I'm using this on them. Overall I think this is a good concealer at a very good price, and I would definitely recommend it if you have trouble with spots and don't want to make them worse. Read the complete review |

Witch Anti Blemish Tinted Moisturiser
by juicy_lucy Witch tinted moisturiser I bought this recently to keep my skin moisturised but without having to use any heavy make up. I have always liked the witch products and wasn't surprised to read that the products have been on the go for more than forty years. WHAT IS IT? this is part of the new cosmetics range, ... designed to target and cover imperfections. Based on the witch hazel ingredient along wit antibacterial actives, it will apparently control shine and mattify the skin whilst providing a medium coverage and moisturising skin. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING... The moisturiser comes in a 30ml tube wi a screw on off lid and all of the instructions and information on the back. When I unscrew the lid a little squeeze to the tube dispenses some of the product. It is available in light medium and dark and I have he medium which when first dispensed looks quite dark. It is nice and creamy but also very light in consistency and when rubbed into the skin it is actually lighter in colour than when first dispensed. USING THE PRODUCT... A small amount of the product should be applied to the skin and blended using fingertips. I find that a little of the product dis enough to give a nice coverage and it does blend easily without leaving any lines and without looking obvious. In fact, I think that when blended because it is nice and light is does kind of blend with my own skin colour. PRICE AND AVAILABILITY... The moisturiser is available in chemists and supermarkets and also online. I bought mine from superdrug and because there was £2 off the RRP it cost only £3.99 VERDICT... This does blend nice and easily and provides a light coverage; I wouldn't say that it's medium as advertised on the blurb. When first applied it make my skin feel well moisturised and it leaves my skin tone looking even. The only problem is that it doesn't last very long and for all day co age it does need to be reapplied. It's isn't difficult to do because its a moisturiser and because it blends so easily it can be applied like a moisturiser to keep skin looking even and feeling moisturised. For every day even skin tone and for moisturised healthy skin I would recommend this. Tanks for reading Daniela x Read the complete review |

Witch Naturally Clear Concealer
by kaylaa Being someone with bad skin I can't live without concealer! Until I first bought this I used Rimmel's concealer which is probably the most popular concealer. Why that is however I'm unsure, because that product always disappointed me whereas this never has! -Price- The standard price for this is usually just under £5 at ... Superdrug and Boots. It is possible to get it cheaper at other bargain stores and even in Boots and Superdrug they are often on offer. For example a month or so ago there was a buy 2 for £5 on any Witch products, so you're effectively getting it at least half price! Then again if my concealer ran out I'd rather spend the £5 than go without this because I think it's still worth that much. -Design- The concealer is like many of its competitors in that it twists like a lipstick. This has been problematic a couple of times for me in that being quite a thin tube it has snapped in the past; but this is down to my clumsiness really so I won't hold it against Witch. The silver, metallic appearance is something that I love. For one it makes the product look that little bit more classy, and for two it makes it less obviously a concealer stick. -Effectiveness- In terms of coverage this is, in my opinion great! It doesn't have a weird orangey tint to it that the Rimmel concealer did and it's better coverage than the No 7 version which is a lot more expensive. It's smoother than other concealers as well, very easy to blend and it's not obvious you're wearing concealer. When it comes to how well this helps clears up spots, I can't say I'm sure. It certainly doesn't have any negative effect and it doesn't make your skin feel greasy which is always good; but I'm not very good at measuring the extent to which it actually helps with spots, sorry! All in all I think this a great concealer. I love the coverage, the design, the fact that it's discreet, the value for money and that it feels and is oil-free. I'll definately continue to buy it for as long as I can, and it's one of those essentials I take in my handbag everywhere and anywhere. Read the complete review |
