Firstly I love the packaging; as you would already know, Anna Sui is all about the roses. The lipstick is not an exception and certainly pleases the eye with its unusual rose shaped contour. It really makes a pretty addition to your makeup pouch.
There is a single downside with the packaging though (which may prove crucial): because the bit that clicks has pointy ends, you may end up scratching the actualy lipstick while closing it if you're not careful!
Anna Sui lipstick may look bold in colour but when swatched, the colour comes out slightly watered down so that you will be able to control how strongly it goes on to your lips. Number 400 (which looks like blue based red), in particular, creates a watered rose type of colour on the lips when lightly swatched once. This, as I am aware, is the best selling colour of all the lipsticks. Number 600 (vibrant orange) also, is a very popular colour which adds a hint of brightness to your lips to complement complexions.
The application is smooth and the lipstick sits very lightly and comfortably on your lips. It doesn't dry out, but at the same time, it doesn't really seem to hydrate particularly.
