What are they?
************
Cosmetic Cotton Wool Pads.
Special Features?
**************
Made from 100% cotton infused with Aloe Vera. There are 80 pads per pack, and although this is not really prominently stated feature, the pads have a stitched edging with what appears to be two textured sides making them very similar to double sided pads for dual use.
What do I think of them?
*******************
These are unbelievable - after so many years of using cotton wool pads these are probably one of the best ones that I have come across. They are extremely soft to the touch but not so overtly fragile or delicate that they will easily tear. Also surprisingly tough and sturdy for such softness. These are so soft I nearly thought they were designed for babies.
Unlike some pads, these do not fleece and the layers do not come apart when you take them out of the pack. The pads also have stitched edging and visually appears to have two different textured sides. One side of the pad is plain with the other with some striped texture, giving rise to the possibility of a dual use pad. This feature isn't really highlighted but the pads are thick enough and capable of being used on both sides.
Although infused with Aloe Vera, this is not really apparent - there is no smell or colour but just the extreme softness of the pads.
The pads cost 67p for a pack of 80. Most cosmetic cotton pads come in 100s, so these would cost on average around 83p per 100 - which, is still quite reasonable and a little cheaper than some of the other brands that I have been using. Asda promotes these at £1.00 for two packs - so even better value! But what makes me love them so much is the extremely soft but sturdy quality of these pads with no fleecing or separating of layers. Definitely five stars from me.
