Advantages: Just as good as more expensive versions
Disadvantages: None
We bought these cotton wool balls while my daughter was in her first hospital, they had a policy of no baby wipes, only cotton wool and water. We had previously been buying bags of Johnsons cotton wool which at £2.50 a bag were over double the £1.00 these cost. Thinking it would be worth a try, as we were getting through a lot of the stuff I popped them in my basket.
The packaging is light blue with little angels emblazoned on the front. Little angels is Asda's own make of baby products, I have since tried more things in the range and am very happy with their products. On the front of the packaging it also informs you that there are approximately 200 cotton wool balls and that they are made out of 100% pure cotton. The bag has a draw string at the top to keep the cotton wool balls inside, a nice feature for such a bargain price.
I found the cotton wool balls no different to the branded version to be honest. They were a nice size and easy to hold in your hand while dealing with a wriggly baby, they also did the job of cleaning Amelia's bum nicely. The cotton wool balls absorbed a nice amount of moisture from the water without dripping all over her and they were tough enough that they didn't break apart. Very important when dealing with a poo explosion
All in all, I see no reason to buy more expensive cotton wool when these do the job just as well for less than half price, I would highly recommend these. 5 stars from me
Summary: A great product
