I often buy things from my Avon catalogue as I like the connivance of browsing through their catalogue. I like trying different eye makeup so when I came across this eight piece eye shadow set I thought it would be a great way of trying out new colours without purchasing lots of single eye shadows. I have previously owned the quad version of this set and so when is a this version with 8 different shades I decided to give it a go. The eye shadow There are three different variations of colour available in these pallets from Avon. I chose the natural option as it is not often I wear more daring colours. There is a water colours which are brighter ... Read the complete review

If I wear eye shadow it is usually Neutral in colour so when I saw this palette in the Avon brochure I thought it would be ideal, giving a bit of variety. The palette comes in two options Neutral Tones or Smokey Eyes. I purchased both but so far have only used the Neutral Tones. The eight eye shadows come in a sleek Black plastic compact with a clear panel in the lid through which you can see the colours. The compact has a good snap shut fastening and does not open randomly when searching through a makeup bag. Once open, there is a mirror on the inside of the lid which is ideal when on the go and there are two double ended sponge tipped ... Read the complete review

My mate gave me this palette of 8 eyeshadows from Avon because she didn't like the colours and couldn't be bothered to send it back. I'm the opposite and think the colours in this neutral tones palette are nice but the quality of the eyeshadow isn't very good. They're pressed powder eyeshadows and you have to apply it quite thick to get any depth of colour. This palette has got quite a few pale tones and they don't show up very well, the palest peachy pink makes a good highlighter but the other pale ones aren't much good because when you put them on too thick they crease badly but if you put them on thinner the colour doesn't show up. The idea of ... Read the complete review

Normally, when I buy an eyeshadow palette I tend to find I prefer one of the shades, and use it while virtually ignoring the others. With this palette I use every single shade on a regular basis. About Avon: Avon first came to the fore when Avon Ladies dropped catalogues door to door and delivered products to your door. This is still common practice, but fortunately Avon's products are now available online too. Avon Make Up: Having tried several Avon make up products over the years, I would recommend trying their eye make up but do not find their foundations to be particularly good. Avon bring out a new brochure monthly with different offers, so you ... Read the complete review

I've been on the hunt for a reasonably priced neutral eye shadow palette for a while now, so was very excited to see the 8 in 1 Eye Palette in my new Avon catalogue. Normally priced at £10.50, the palette was on offer for only £5.50 so I jumped at the chance to buy it. The palette comes in 2 different shades - Neutral Tones and Smokey Eyes. I chose the Neutral Tones, although the Smokey Eyes has gorgeous colours too. The packaging is very sleek looking; a slim shiny black case with a strip of plastic so all the shades of the eye shadows can be seen. Inside you find the 8 pressed powder eye shadows, a handy mirror on the lid of the palette and two ... Read the complete review
